Hotel Grand Park

Bogota|0.33km from Colpatria Tower
Good points. Nice swimming pool area. Has a gym/fitness room albeit limited. Mainly cycle and running machines. Staff polite and friendly. Rooms spacious and clean. Beds ok. Medium. Reasonable location. Staff tried to help next day with some room problems. Bad points. Rooms. No water in room. No mini bar. Showers cold first night. No welcome drink or anything on arrival after 24 hour travel. And nothing in the room. You literally couldn’t even buy any water in the room if you want it. No kettle, no mugs, no tea coffee. No anything. No shower gel. Shampoo only. Only 1 toilet roll. Only two towels. Fan not work in bathroom. Headboard literally degrading and falling apart. Two gin and ginger beers at bar in pool. £22!!!!! Uk money! Hotel 3 star maximum but with benefit of facilities like indoor pool and fitness room. Poor English or none by most staff. ( I understand maybe you could argue I should be speaking Spanish to come to a Spanish-speaking country. But this is the capital of Colombia and a tourist destination ) Room needed redecoration and maintenance. No instruction book ( where everything is etc ) Overall, for the money we paid its an okay hotel because it’s clean and has a fitness room, reasonable location and a nice pool. But some basic things really let it down like no water or tea or coffee facilities in the room. No mini bar. A greeting drink when you come in from a long trip would have made a huge difference and would all help. Personally, because these basics are missing, I would not stay here again.

Ibis Bogota Museo

My second time staying at an Ibis; LOVE these properties. The rooms are very basic but you'll have what you need. The property is fun and stylish, staff was helpful (including arranging midnight airport transportation for us) and there's a full service bar and restaurant. The breakfast buffet has an amazing selection of dishes; I wish hotels in the US offered breakfasts like this! The National Museum right across the street is well worth a visit and you're a short drive to Monserrate and Candelaria.
Hotel San Francisco de Asis

I live in Medellin and travel extensively all over Colombia as I am a TripAdvisor Destination Expert for Colombia (including Bogota) and so I found myself in Bogota for another visit and as I said in my October 2018 review of this hotel (Hotel San Francisco) that ”I will be back” so this alone should tell you my feelings about this hotel, the value is incredible. I stayed on the 10th floor in a room facing Monserrate and was very comfortable. The check in process was good, could have been better but no complaints, yes the rooms are a bit dated and a little worn but everything worked including the hot shower, the wifi, the TV, the outlets, everything worked and made my 5 day stay comfortable. They also made improvements to the breakfast since my last visit. Nice hot and fresh coffee and eggs, what a great way to start the day. Like my previous stay I again drove in from Medellin where I live and more value as the hotel has a secure parking which is included in the price. Excellent. This hotel marks off all the boxes. So for 75,000 pesos I get a clean and comfortable room which includes a good breakfast and free parking for my car and I can walk to the Gold Museum or to the funicular at Monserrate in 20-25 minutes, this is VALUE, VALUE, VALUE. Like I said in October 2018 I repeat it again now, that is ”I will be back”.
GHL Hotel Tequendama Bogotá

The hotel service is very professional. All the staff are professional and sincere. They have warm smiles and thoughtful service. All the details are in place. The cleaning staff and drivers are very polite and comfortable. The breakfast is also very good. It takes about 20 minutes to walk to the old town, which is very convenient. I generally don't like to make comments, but this hotel makes me unhappy.
Hotel la Sabana

It’s truly a fabulous hotel especially considering the price and centrally located in the Centro of Bogota. You are within 1/2 a mile from Monserrat teleférico and approximately 5 blocks from Plaza Bolivar where all the Museum are located. I definitely recommend this Hotel!

Good •Good breakfast. They made us a vegan breakfast, even when they don't normally offer vegan options; but it was the same every day. •Cleaning and daily amenities. (Although in the ”cons” I detail the issue of cleaning) •Excellent service. All the staff are more than helpful and resolutive. •The Internet connection is good and stable. We were working 8 hours a day and we had no problems. ATTENTION HERE because we asked to change a room with a better view and when they changed us, there was no internet, so we had to go back to where we were before. So, keep in mind that there are apartments with no Wi-Fi. •24h reception •Very quiet. There's no noise. This gave us a lot of quality of life and more coming from the noise hell that there was in the accommodation in Playa del Carmen. •Spacious. Enough space for storage and put the suitcases. •Good workspace. (desk and confortable chair) •Spa. However, there are restrictions to use the spa Bad: •The kitchen has less than the basics and that is a problem if you expect to cook during your stay because, even if you complain, they will not be able to bring you everything you need. In my case, for example, I needed a pasta strainer, bowls and a good knife and they said they didn't have them. •The gym is small and does not have much. •The apartments are cold and don’t have heating. The only way they solve it is by giving you a blanket. •Regarding cleanliness: I do not like that the floor of the room is covered by a carpet; also, the carpet was completely disgusting. In addition, the utensils they used to clean were more dirty than clean. The surfaces and the bathroom were always very clean, but the floors were not. It is very important to take care of cleaning, disinfection and vacuuming very well, especially when the accommodation accepts pets and considering that we are still living in a pandemic. In conclusion, we had a good stay although perhaps I would recommend it more for a short stay. By the end I was already a bit upset by the carpet and the little glitches. But for the offer that there is and the quality / price ratio that you can find, it is not bad. What is certain is that the hotel would gain a lot of potential if it remodeled the apartments (I think it needs urgent restoration).
