We stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise that was leaving from the International Cruise Terminal. The main reason we chose this hotel was its close proximity to Roma Street Station as we caught the train from the airport. While it is close to the train station it is located at the top of a reasonable hill and it took a bit of effort to navigate the way to the top, apart from the effort. Several escalators/lifts and then a steep path with no real directions on which way to go. I thought I would be able to see the hotel to give me an idea which way but had to resort to Google Maps to find the way. Unfortunately we were on an early flight into Brisbane so as it was 09:30AM I was not expecting our room to be ready but just needed to store our bags so we good do some exploring. As expected, our room was not ready but the guy behind the counter checked me in, stored our bags and advised that the hotel was busy and our room would not be ready until about 02:00PM. No worries we will be back. We arrived back at 01:00PM and our room was still not ready and waited in the foyer till 02:00PM as previously discussed. Reception gave me our keys and we proceeded to our room on Level 1, or so I thought……..room card would not let me use the lift. Back to reception to have the card re-coded. On entry to our room, it was reasonably spacious and looked clean and reasonably comfortable. Décor a bit dated, but functional. We had a rather large balcony but we could not use it as there was no furniture so the balcony was wasted. Bathroom was small but functional, bit dated but appeared clean. It was only after we used the toilet several times that we noticed water on the floor. We ignored it for quite a while as we thought we had spilt water on the floor but it was not till the next morning that I realised it was coming from under the toilet. I reported it to reception on checkout. As we were tired from our early start we chose to order room service. While we knew how much it was going to cost it was very expensive. Two hamburgers and chips over $70. A bit steep, but as we were so tired we paid so we did not have to go out. The hamburgers were good by the way, but still way too expensive. Overall, this hotel was OK, but the room was supposed to be a superior room. OK. I would hate to be in a Standard Room………..as the room was pretty average for a Superior. After reading some of the other reviews the price we paid was fair and the location is good, just not when you have to push two big suitcases that we were taking on a cruise up the hill from the station. PS. It cost us $73 in the taxi to get to the Cruise Terminal.

The Soho Hotel in Brisbane is definitely great value for what you pay. The rooms might be a bit small, but they've got everything you need: a fridge, desk, comfy bed, and a decent bathroom. It's also nice and quiet. Having the free city bus right outside is a huge plus. No lift, which was a bit of a hassle for me with my back issue, but that's on me to check next time. The hosts are top-notch – super friendly and welcoming, probably the best we've met during our three months of travel. Considering the price, you're getting a lot for your money here.

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed in, very clean and modern and friendly, helpful staff. A variety of accommodation options from single bed pods in a shared room, to a variety of dorms and also private en-suite rooms. The shared bathrooms are clean and you can have them all to yourself if you get up early!! A great location a short walk from the cbd with plenty of eating places nearby, plus the hostel offers a free breakfast.

I currently live on the Sunshine Coast and drive to Brisbane once a week to work 3 days in our Milton office and stay here when I can because of the location. It’s a great place to stay as it’s reasonably priced (circa $100 a night), has undercover car parking, and is a 5 minute walk to work and various restaurants & eateries on Park Road. There is a decent Chinese restaurant (China Sea) attached to the hotel which I have dined at a few times and an excellent Thai massage place (Royal Paradise Thai Spa) on Park Road which I discovered & now go to. It is a $15 Uber ride to QPAC (I went & saw a Queensland Theatre production on my last visit) and I walk up to the Palace Barracks and catch a movie sometimes. The rooms are clean & comfortable & have all you need for a 3 night stay. Some of the rooms have basic smart TVs so you can watch Netflix. Wifi is free but very hit & miss (often slow or not working) so I often just use Telstra data. I never actually seen anyone at reception due to the fact I arrive late on Sundays & reception opens after I have left for work, however the phone check in process where you access keys from a safe works perfectly fine. Overall I recommend Central Cosmo & I’ll be back very soon (tomorrow in fact!).

Booked 2 bedroom apartment but was given 3 bedrooms instead. King size bed and single bedded rooms have windows, queen size bed without windows. All rooms have air conditioning. Room allocated didnt have a proper dining area, had 3 bar chairs with a small area. Took turns to have our meals. Sofa was great with recliners but too small for family of 4. Bread toaster and all appliances were clean and in order. Short walk to Botanic gardens, Queen Street mall and we were able to walk to South Bank. Free Cityhopper ferries at Riverside Terminal which is within walking distance too. Encountered an usual foggy morning and a fascinating view! Overall a great stay!

Great location, super near the dockside where you can take the free Cityhopper to Riverside. Walking distance to Fortitude Valley via the story bridge which is super nice to take a walk at. There’s a Manhattan Pizza nearby - perfect for takeaways, a super delicious French bakery Christina Jacques Bakery and lots of dining options. Free parking was what I needed hence I chose The Point, I typically return back around 5-6pm and there are still lots available. Hot showers are available readily with adjustable water pressure, well done. Chromecast available, room size is good to fit 2 large sized suitcases with plenty of space left. Breakfast is good, it’s ala-carte which reduces food wastages, they even allow takeaways for coffee and food when I did not have time to dine-in for my breakfast. Good place to rest in after a day of sight-seeing. Very value for money and true to photos.

What fantastic spot for a city break. Such a good location and beautiful rooms. The added bonus of a rooftop pool, sauna and steam room made our girls trip complete. We were spoilt for choice for dinning options in the complex. Highly recommended and I'll definitely be back

GGuest UserWhilst our stay in the Hotel X Suite was pleasant, there was nothing memorable about it. The suite was spacious, fitted with modern conveniences (ie. electric blockout curtains, Dyson hairdryer, zip tap and smart tv) and was generally comfortable. Unfortunately, the bathroom lacked privacy as it overlooked the street and directly faced another building across the road so the blinds were always drawn preventing natural light from coming in. Also, there is no separate toilet with lockable door. Although, the toiletries were nice and the shower quite spacious. Service was friendly but lacked a personal touch. Breakfast at Bisou Bisou had a limited menu but the food was overall good. The rooftop bar (Iris) had great views, a good tapas menu and relaxing vibe. The location of the hotel is convenient, within walking distance of the buzzing James Street precinct and a short car ride to the city centre.

GGuest UserStayed as family of four (teenagers) in one bedroom suite. Got early checkin and late checkout on Friday night which was great. There's no view in the room but wasn't much of an issue. The pool was great, but the swim up bar wasn't open on Friday, despite the homepage saying it is. It was open on Saturday but we were getting ready to checkout so really wasn't in the drinking phase. The executive lounge had good choice of food and drinks. They only had beers and wines so no spirits, even basics. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly and there was no lock which was bit inconvenient. The sofa bed was bit small for 2 ppl and the king bed was very spacious. Overall it was great hotel for an overnight stay as family. Would highly recommend

GGuest UserStayed at The Constance last Friday for an event and was such a delight. Perfect location for all night life, everything is in walking distance. Greeted and served by the loveliest reception staff, I wish I had of asked for your name - the sweet filo receptionist made us feel so special and welcomed for the night. The room was a little smaller than the pictures but super modern and exciting change from our usual hotel stays, loved all the art and the cute courtyard out back. The bed was the absolute highlight of our stay though 😅 felt like a cloud, we really struggled getting up in the morning because it was so comfy. Overall a lovely little spot to spend the night, thanks staff! Miss Lyric x

GGuest UserRooms are fine and well priced. They are a little of the small side but fine for 1-2 people for a night or two. Rooftop bar is a great place for a drink looking over King George Square My only negative on this visit to the Mercure was that my room had a lot of very small moths in the room Check in is friendly and efficient and location is very good - short walk from Central Station, Queen Street mall and Southbank.

Which remained throughout my visit, nothing was too much trouble, always helpful. Room was perfect, city skyline view at night from the balcony was great. Room facilities gave me all I needed for cooking and storage. Cleanliness was outstanding across whole property. Car parking secure. PPHILLIP JAMESThis hotel is just a 5 min walk to the Queen Street Mall and also very close to the Treasury ******. I arrived at about 2:00pm (the set check inn time), but a large tour group was also trying to check inn. So I let my luggage and came back latter. My room was located on Level 12, and at the back of the building. As the hotel is opposite a construction site, it was wise to have a room facing the back of this building. The view is nothing exceptional - just a small courtyard with taller buildings surrounding the hotel. The room was very spacious with a comfortable sofa-chair and lamp to view the TV (from a distance). The internet was hit and miss. There are two connections. One free with lower internet speeds and another network for $5 with higher speeds. I was given access to the higher speed network for free when visiting the reception for voucher. Some times the internet connection was exceptional but often it dropped out and you have to reconnect several times. The bathroom was very modern and shower was fulled enclosed with glass door, rather than a shower curtain. However, note there are two issues with the bathroom. The toilet is not accustomed too much paper, and was often blocked. (fortunately there is bathroom brush provided to unblock the toilet). Secondly, there seems to be some problem with the drain under the sink, that was letting water in to the bathroom floor. Hap to mop up the wet floors, using towels, which I put over the drain. Despite these problems, I would still recommend this hotel. It represents good value for money in a prime location.
