We had a 10 p.m. arrival, so booked our first night's stay here, and we are so glad we did. It is very close to the airport, and even closer to our following morning's car rental agency. We were also glad we took the hotel's advice and booked a driver to take us the short distance late at night -- only ZAR 130, safe and efficient. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, scrupulously clean, cozy room, comfy bed. Big shower stall. There is no lift/elevator, so the porter certainly earned his tip for carying our luggage up the stairs! And best of all was the buffet breakfast -- possibly the best buffet scrambled eggs ever, tasty sausages, hot porridge/outmeal, salad with pumpkin seeds and pine nuts; choice of cereals, fresh fruit salad, yoghurt; plus toast, croissants, pastries, tea, coffee.

Lovely stay at Newlands Peak Aparthotel. Quiet and clean location. The apartment itself is very modern and has everything you need. Everything looked brand new! The swimming pool on the rooftop is absolutely breathtaking. Very relaxing. Spacious place on the rooftop to workout and braai. Thank you for a great stay!

What a beautiful home from home experience! This Victorian family home turned guesthouse is a hidden gem. Full of fascinating antiquities, including family portraits and floor to ceiling books in the library! The breakfasts are delightful with lovely touches including our favourite- the homemade marmalade from the oranges in the garden. Our bed was very comfortable and our ensuite newly refurbished to a high standard. Our host Janette couldn’t do enough for us and made a restaurant reservation for us and sorted our transport to the airport etc. A hidden gem herself! The location is perfect too - walking distance to Newlands Quarter and many decent restaurants, also only a short drive to the beautiful Kirstenbosch Gardens. Location was everything! Beautiful hotel!

Very close to the airport, there is a free shuttle bus in an hour. Many foreigners choose this hotel, it is very clean, the room is not small, the breakfast is quite rich, it is a very good choice.

Perfect for a quick overnight stay, can't complain about anything. Excellent support from the staff. A special mention of Sikelele the barman is appropriate as he supported me with an iPhone cable when I was desperate to charge my phone, but discovered that I had forgotten mine.

Having travelled extensively and stayed in numerous hotels worldwide, I can confidently state that my recent experience was the worst ever. Despite seeing several negative reviews about their service, I thought they were just occasional lapses. However, I soon discovered that the hotel had a persistent service problem. I had a problem with my reservation and spent two days trying to resolve it, but no one cared. To make matters worse, I was charged ten times the amount I had originally paid for the same room (i.e., $300 instead of $30) without any reasonable explanation. When I questioned this, the staff merely shrugged it off, citing fluctuating prices as the reason. The lady in charge of reservations was extremely rude and disrespectful throughout the ordeal. In addition to the issues with my reservation and the exorbitant charges, the air conditioner was not working properly and made a lot of noise. Furthermore, the fridge in my room made a huge noise, which disturbed my sleep at 2 am (I recorded a video as proof). Moreover, the noise levels in the dormitory were unacceptable all the night! making it impossible to get a good night's sleep. In short, I urge anyone considering staying at this hotel to think twice and look for other options.
