Horizon Inn & Ocean View Lodge

Room was spacious and clean with in room coffee and tea and daily breakfast basket delivered at the doorstep. Great bathroom amenities. Fresh robes. Courtyard is cozy and clean with well heated hot tub. It is a smaller hot tub, so it’s worth it to wait until empties out for privacy. Otherwise, you’ll be very close to other people. The fire pit is nice. Keep in mind that very few rooms have an actual ocean view. But, that’s to be expected. It’s just the name of the hotel. It’s nice being within walking distance of ocean Avenue and all the restaurants and shopping. Plus, your calves will get a good workout since going back to the hotel is at a bit of an incline. The front desk staff is extremely friendly.

The room and ben linens did not smell fresh, so that was a disappointment. However, the room was cute. They provide robes which was great for going to the hot tub. Bathroom was great and very clean. Every room has outdoor seating and in the morning a breakfast basket appears at your door. They have free wine tasting at 4p. Service was friendly and helpful. The hot tub area is very cute and has a fireplace. It closes a little early, however, (9:45). Probably because quite time starts at 10p. We will be back.

Beautiful setting, clean & upkept. Romantic sitting area with lights, jacuzzi, and fire pit- perfect romantic environment to enjoy with the one you love! I especially appreciated the picnic basket delivery each morning with a thoughtfully prepared continental breakfast - the detail was impressive!

The room was very clean. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed the happy hour and morning breakfast basket touch. At the top of our list when we plan to stay the night in Carmel, so thank you.

Room was comfortable with a beautiful view of the ocean. Also enjoy the 4 PM happy hour with wine and cheese by the fireplace in hot tub. Staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, a good value for a stay in Carmel.

Didn’t use the spa. We had a good stay at thid property.

An amazing hotel! We had a lovely two night stay, Rudy on the front desk was fantastic, helpful, and informative, the room was a little dated but in excellent condition complete with fridge, coffee, microwave and plenty of space. The breakfast they served was really nice and their amenities including their happy hour was great. Would stay again!
