Very uncomfortable, heating on full and won’t turn off at the radiator making the room unbearable to sleep in. Window wide open to cool the room down but very loud road noise. Everything closed Monday and Tuesday for food and drink. Will not be returning.

On arriving at Inn for all Season, we felt very deflated. It is situated between a dual carriage way & an industrial estate, with no other facilities in walking distance. On our Saturday arrival we were told that the bar closed at 9pm & the restaurant stopped serving too. We had booked as two couples but our rooms were at opposite ends of the hotel., & found out the following morning only one other person was staying there. Our friends ended up with a larger room with a bigger bed, tv & walk in shower. Our room had a standard double bed that was so soft when you sat on it you were nearly on the floor & had roll together. The bathroom was clean but dated, with a overhead shower & curtain. On Sunday the bar closed at 9pm & Mondays & Tuesdays the bar/ restaurant isn't open at all. We were not notified of this when we booked. Then had to start looking for other places to eat & have drinks, which ended up costing us more because we used taxis. The staff were all very nice, friendly & tried to be helpful, but when we arrived back at nearly 9pm on Sunday evening hungry, were told we could order food to be delivered ,but had to eat it either in our room or outside . Because we didn't want food smells in our rooms we had to sit on/ under the front veranda in wind & rain wrapped up in coats & hats to eat our food, as everywhere was locked up & the staff left. The food we had was breakfast, & it was good & cooked to order, but served on cold plates. Had we known all of this before booking we would not have chosen this hotel.

Driving back to our hotel after a lovely visit to Lands End we passed this place and being hungry we called in. We were slightly dubious with it being on a motorway and thought it's would be basic motor way food. How we were wrong! The restaurant was packed and serving a carvery, and it was one of the best we've had. The meat was really tender, We had the beef and gammon. There was a good choice of vegetables and all were delicious. The roast potatoes were delicious and so was the Yorkshire puddings and gravy. The cook here knows how to cook a Sunday roast! Carve inrys can be hit n miss depending on the timing and we got it right on this occasion. The seating arrangements were ok and staff very friendly.

We received a Very warm welcome on arrival, we were seated quickly and our order was taken with ease and the lady did a great job in upselling us pigs in blankets to go with our carvery’s. The lady on the Carvery is a real gem she made an effort to speak with every customer we came at half five and she had been going since 12 and it didn’t show a bit. A real lovely lady and a credit to have as part of the team. The carvery was honestly the best I have ever had, I never take food away but I didn’t want to leave the rest of mine and took it home for later. The place is very well managed and even though it being a very busy day with it being Mother’s Day they handled it with ease, didn’t show any signs of being stressed or worn out they were all very well presented and seemed happy to be there. Thank you all for a lovely evening with my family and a big congratulations on a job so very well done :)

Family meal. Firstly the carvery only had two meats available. The stuffing balls were small round , dry and tasteless lumps. The cauliflower cheese was so under cooked I couldn't even cut it to eat it and I think they forgot to add the cheese to the sauce. The Yorkshire puddings looked lovely, only trouble was they were so over cooked they were like crispy burnt cardboard. There were only 3 additional veg available, the roasted carrots were really nice, cannot comment on the turnip but it looked watery and the peas were like bullets. Didn't even eat half of the meal. Will not be returning.

We haven't been to the inn for a few years. Went back for boxing day with a group of 11. Pre-booked well in advance, not sure if they were meant to email a menu to pre-order and forgot or it got lost in the family members junk mail so we didn't know about pre-ordering beforehand until we arrived. So ordering got slightly confusing for some of our party. The waitress that served us was brilliant, we had two children under 5 who were playing with each other and she interacted with them both consistently and made them both laugh. Really appreciated that she was great and very understanding. Cannot fault the food, we had a mix of carverys and menu items and it was all brilliant, the chefs did a great job, really tasty and good portions. Desserts were also fantastic tasting, best cheesecake I've ever had! Only issue with desserts was the inconsistent sizes, 3 of us had the same cheesecake but my portion came out very small in comparison to the others which was disappointing as were all paying the same amount. We also had an issue with the bill but didn't realise until we'd got home. My nan paid for everything but was not told the total, read the bill before paying or shown anything so she got charged an extra £126! Which was food from a while other table on top of ours. Very big mix up which should have been easily noticed before we paid. Luckily she went back and got refunded but it shouldn't have happened in the first place. Also no clotted cream anymore? No-one was asked if they wanted anything with their desserts. We got told that was only for special menus not cabinet desserts. Very odd considering the price of them. Overall it was a nice experience, we had a lovely time there was just a few things that could have very easily been avoided if managed properly. Also the cream in the eclairs was off (we had these as our first choice then had to change desserts after we noticed the smell) how long had they been sitting in that cabinet before we got there. I could easily smell it was off surely this should have been checked before serving? Rolo cheesecake saved the day!

Great food, really enjoyed the vegetarian and gluten free carvery. The staff were very helpful in making sure my meal was gluten free and even provided gf gravy and Yorkshire puddings. Really recommend this place to eat, and you can eat here with confidence even if coeliac like me.
