"My experience staying at this hotel as below. 1. They provide pickup and drop off from the train station. The day before the Inn contacted me to make arrangement for the pickup. Then they arranged to drive me back to station on the day I leave. Service was efficient and prompt. Much appreciated. 2. I was able to use the washing machine to wash come clothes which was much needed. Comb and toiletries were provided. So grateful for these little necessities as I left mine at the previous hotel. 3. The boss upgraded me to a bigger and better room because it was the low season. The kang bed was so comfortable and firm. I had the best sleep so far at this Inn. I'm so happy. 4. The Inn is inside the old city and practically next to one of the city gates. Very convenient for sightseeing old Pingyao city. 5. Everyone very friendly and helpful. Boss also gave me a bottle of vinegar. Wish I could take it back to UK with me. 6. The price of this Inn is also very reasonable and affordable. 7. Pingyao is a beautiful, ancient old city. Worth coming. I highly recommend staying here. I will be uploading photos and videos of the Inn and my travel experience of China on my YouTube channel TheTravelDiary and goody2shoos once I'm back in the UK so look up my channel for full information and experience. "Revisiting Pingyao, I chose this inn and my experience exceeded expectations. It's a typical Jin merchant-style courtyard, with blue bricks, grey tiles, and lanterns hanging high, creating an authentic and ancient atmosphere. It offers a tranquil escape in the midst of the bustling ancient city; despite its central location, the courtyard is incredibly peaceful. The owner was warm and thoughtful, even recommending sightseeing routes and local delicacies. Check-in was smooth. The room was clean and tidy, the bedding comfortable, and the bathroom facilities complete with stable hot water. The cleanliness details were impeccable. Sitting idly in the small courtyard, soaking in the ancient city's slow pace, felt truly immersive. It was convenient for visiting attractions and finding food, with no hidden extra costs, offering excellent value for money. If you're staying in an ancient courtyard in Pingyao, this place is highly recommended. I'll definitely choose it again on my next visit."

"We came to Pingyao only for one night, but this family was absolutely adorable and really helped us with everything. They helped us with the luggage, we also took there a photoshoot and they took care of our little son (2 years old). They are kind, thoughtful and sensible and we really enjoyed our stay feeling like home. The place is awesome and breathtaking. You will really feel that you are in another age. It's peaceful though in the middle of everything."

"1. The facilities are relatively new. You get the authentic feel of a Jin merchant courtyard in Pingyao Ancient City without it feeling old or run-down. 2. After parking, someone comes to pick you up. In the evening, they use a trishaw, and in the morning, if you leave early and there are fewer people, they use a commercial van. 3. The service is excellent; they help with luggage, and I even received a small gift when I checked out. 4. Breakfast was decent. They had baozi (steamed buns), bread, cold dishes, and freshly fried sunny-side-up eggs made by the chef in the morning. There were also welcome fruits upon check-in. 5. If you want to try some popular restaurants, the hotel provides discount vouchers. Plus, at Hongwuji, you can directly get a private room, which is great."

"Room was comfortable and the shower was hot. 😊 The overall property appeared to be going through an update and repairs which didn’t bother us. Breakfast served is local and nourishing. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He is very good at using the translation app which was helpful for us Westerners. I would recommend for the adventurous backpacker types. We also appreciated the ride to the train station. 😊"

"Brand new hotel, very stylish and beautiful, it was renovated with high quality materials. The personnel is kind and helpful, they provided umbrellas for us for the rainy day. However sound isolation in between the rooms is a big problem, when someone goes to toilet in the next room it sounds like they are inside your room because of the air channels in between the rooms. And also there is a constant back noise like the sound of a fridge but there is no fridge inside the room! The room is a bit “too modern” for our taste, there was a mirror with a blue light that we had to cover with a towel and we had to turn off the “intelligent toilet” that also had a blue light and a sensor. Anyways too many lights and too much noise in the room. Unfortunately we regretted to have moved to this hotel and pay 20€ more per night compared to our previous hotel in Pingyao."

"Let me elaborate. **Courtyard Design:** Very beautiful, many scenic spots within the ancient city are decorated in a similar style. **Room Amenities:** Given the prime location, the room isn't large, perhaps around 15 square meters. It has all the essentials and is very clean. The mattress was comfortable. Of course, it can't compare to high-end or luxury hotels. Its main advantage is its excellent location; it's very convenient for exploring, and you can easily pop back for a rest when you get tired. **Service:** The staff were very service-oriented. When we arrived, there weren't many guests, and the service was very attentive. **Breakfast:** It's not a buffet; it's a fixed-menu breakfast, like a 'nine-grid' style. It looks very appealing, and the taste is decent enough to fill you up. Overall, it's a good stay. Naturally, for this price point within the ancient city, you shouldn't compare it to hotels of the same price outside. It's incomparable, primarily due to its superb geographical advantage."

"Highly recommend this hotel when visiting Pingyao Ancient City! It's under the Radisson brand, so all the facilities and services are top-notch. They even give you a welcome gift. The rooms are quite new, and the shower has great water pressure. There's a self-service laundry room, and if you let the front desk know before you head out to explore the ancient city, they'll even help transfer your laundry to the dryer when it's done. When you get back, they'll have everything folded and ready for you at the front desk – excellent service! The breakfast spread is also very rich and delicious. Plus, the price is incredibly reasonable. It's also super close to the ancient city, just a short walk, or you can take the ancient city's electric shuttle for 10 yuan per person if you don't feel like walking."

"This was such a sweet stay! Very pretty hotel, way better than the photos. The room was extremely clean and felt quite new. There was a western toilet and the shower had a curtain. The air conditioner was working great. The location is quite convenient, 10 minutes from a gate by walking, and close to the main street. The recommended restaurants were well priced and had great food, nothing negative to say about anything on this hotel. A lot of free amenities and they even gave me some specialties on the checkout! I wish I had stayed more time in PingYao, the city is very beautiful."
