"I chose this hotel because of its 4.9 rating on Ctrip, but my actual stay left me a little disappointed. First, the positives: The room was spacious and odorless. The shower had stable water pressure and drained well. The staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Now for the disappointments: The lobby and hallways constantly reeked of strong cigarette smoke. Someone was smoking in the lobby during check-in; when I returned to the hotel after exploring the ancient city around 11 PM, the lobby still smelled of smoke; and when I opened my room door at noon for check-out, the heavy smoke smell in the hallway nearly made me stumble. The hotel's odor management is clearly lacking. If they can't prevent guests from smoking, they should at least ensure proper ventilation. Otherwise, in a few years, the curtains, carpets, and everything else will be thoroughly saturated with the smell. This is a new hotel, but the hallway carpets were noticeably dirty, and some areas on the room walls were scuffed. While guest etiquette varies, the hotel should still do a better job with maintenance. Bathroom facilities: The shower stream was a bit weak, which I personally wasn't used to. Overall, the room was quite large and odorless, making for a relatively comfortable stay. This hotel is slightly inferior to another 4.9-rated hotel I stayed at elsewhere, but better than a 4.7-rated hotel in Taiyuan. So, I'd probably give it a 4.8."

"The hotel was exceptionally clean, and the service was outstanding – incredibly warm and attentive to every detail. They truly went above and beyond to accommodate any request. They even offered pick-up and drop-off service to Pingyao Ancient City High-speed Rail Station, which was very thoughtful and welcoming. The hotel's location is fantastic, just a 5-minute walk from the North Gate, making it super convenient. It's also easy to get to Pingyao Theater and the South Gate of Pingyao Ancient City. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable. If you're coming to Pingyao, this is the place to stay! They even extended our check-out to 3 PM, so there was no rush at all, and they provided breakfast for the kids. A truly satisfying experience. We'll definitely be back next time!"

They insisted on driving our bags to the taxi when leaving and we’re sorry we didn’t have time to take up their offer of tea before our train. Highly recommend this hotel!"
