Atour Hotel Wuhou Temple , Broad and Narrow Alley

This Atour Hotel experience was terrible. This particular branch, located near Wuhou Shrine and Kuanzhai Alley, is a renovated old building, and the floor slabs are quite thin. I stayed in room 726. At 11 PM, the outdoor air conditioning unit made a lot of noise. The AC units from both the upper and lower floors vibrated together, creating a resonance that sounded like a tractor. See the video for details. The outdoor AC unit noise was so loud that I couldn't sleep at all. I contacted the hotel to change rooms. They first arranged room 310, but I found that the window in room 310 had a 1cm gap (see image for details); it couldn't be closed properly. It was as if it was open, letting all the outside noise directly into the room. So, I changed rooms again to 618. This room still had noise from the outdoor AC unit, but since it wasn't vibrating with both the upper and lower units, only the one above was vibrating, the noise was slightly less. By this time, it was already past midnight. This was the worst Atour I've ever stayed at. I didn't get a good night's sleep for two consecutive nights. The outdoor AC unit noise continued from night until day, and every 20 minutes, the inverter AC would change, producing varying levels of noise. I will not choose hotels that are renovated old buildings in old city districts again.

With two 1.8-meter beds, our family of four slept very comfortably. There's also a door between the two rooms, providing good sound insulation, so we weren't disturbed by snoring. The hotel service was excellent, and the robot delivery for takeout was fast. We stayed for three nights and received complimentary welcome fruit every day. The only minor drawback was that only the bathroom sink had a water tap in one of the rooms. It would be great if they could add a small basin outside if they ever renovate.

The facilities are complete and very clean, but what truly stands out is the exceptional service. The staff are incredibly attentive, making you feel right at home. The surrounding area offers a great variety of dining and shopping options. This is a hotel I particularly love, and I'll definitely visit again if I get the chance!

The hotel is conveniently located on Jinli Middle Road, just a 15-minute walk from Wuhou Shrine and Jinli. Kuanzhai Alley and People's Park are also within walking distance. In the evenings, after enjoying snacks at Jinli, it's a lovely and relaxing stroll back to the hotel along the river, with a gentle breeze. In September, the sweet osmanthus trees at the entrance were in full bloom, filling the air with a delightful fragrance. The room was meticulously clean, and the soundproofing was excellent, ensuring a very quiet and restful night's sleep. The room also featured a smart toilet, though it had a minor functional flaw. Atour hotels generally pay great attention to detail, and this one was no exception, with the entire room being clean and odor-free. The front desk staff, Banma and Galaxy, as well as the housekeeping team, were all very thoughtful, attentive, and incredibly enthusiastic. What also pleasantly surprised me were the fantastic breakfast and parking facilities. The breakfast offered a great mix of local specialties and options that cater to general tastes. The parking lot was spacious, making parking very convenient!

The room was quite clean, and the staff were very friendly. The breakfast offered a good variety. The only minor drawback is a step in the bathroom of the Kimu family room, which could be a safety concern for elderly guests. Please be mindful of your footing if you're staying with seniors.

The room was very comfortable, clean, and tidy, and the location was convenient for getting around. I'd definitely stay here again on my next visit. They even upgraded me to a suite, which I really appreciated. I'll be recommending it to my friends. Very reliable!

I stayed in Chengdu for five days and four nights, and I was a little sad to leave: (1) The price was reasonable, and I enjoyed the quality Atour offers, making it great value for money. (2) The location is convenient; it's not far from Chunxi Road and Kuanzhai Alley, and you can even take a direct shuttle bus to Sanxingdui from Taikoo Li. (3) The service quality was excellent. When assigning rooms, the hotel staff paid close attention to booking requests. They were quick to respond when I asked to switch rooms after seeing them in person, and they allowed for a late check-out when possible. (4) They have a reading room, laundry room, and gym, all of which I used during my trip. These amenities helped ensure my daily needs were met while traveling. Overall, it was a very comfortable stay. Choosing Atour for my travels truly makes things hassle-free.
