The property is obviously older and has seen better days. But, the property owner should seriously spend a little money on upkeep. Let’s begin with a positive note. The beds we’re comfortable and clean and the floor is newer “fake wood” stuff. Easy to clean and looked good.
Now bad. Parking lot was dirty. Trash everywhere. The pool was extremely cloudy and needs maintenance. The “workout” room was non existent and full of things (fridges and stuff). The exterior stairs and walkways need a very good pressure washer crew to spend an entire day on them. Now inside the room, AC was very loud and made a ton of noise. The lights sorta worked but only sometimes. And the bathroom light fixture had mold growing in it (I took it down and looked). And the shower, on the top of the shower walls had mold. Overall if I hadn’t drives 780 miles that day, I would have left. But I passed out.
Choice hotels needs to look at the word “choice” and know that I will be looking at other hotels next time if this is the caliber of “choices” they provide.
