Read loads of reviews before booking and decided more good than bad so would give it a try. Cheap week all inclusive. Rooms are great, very clean, lovely bathroom with great walk in shower. Beds are a bit hard but that's personal choice, loads of wardrobe space, great balcony overlooking pool. Drinks are fine, everywhere is spotless. Food not the best we've had, but certainly not the worst, can always find something. Location quiet, a handful of bars and restaurants just behind the hotel but provides choice if you want to get out. Only our third day here but the positives far outweigh the negatives. Give it a try

Stayed for a week with husband and two teenage children. The room was spacious and very clean, great view of the pool from the balcony. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. Food was a bit monotonous after a week but we chose to go out for dinner a few nights. The animation team did a great job with the games by the pool and that kept the teenagers entertained, so overall a great holiday and I would recommend the hotel.

This was the 3rd time we've been to Tamaimo and have to say we really enjoyed it , it's a fabulous 3* hotel , very clean and there is something going on all day if that's your thing , there are 2 pool areas one lively with a hardworking animation team and a quieter pool for those who like to relax Food is standard AI fare , there's always something to eat This is a great hotel just don't expect 5* at 3* prices

Great food and very friendly staff. Clean rooms and pool area.Only spent 4 days there but would highly recommend. Great for families as the day and evening entertainment geared for children and my son loved it. Recommend the sailing trip to see pilot whales and dolphins and a very nice Italian restaurant called Sorriso with a balcony overlooking the sea for a good old fashioned Italian pizza if you want to get out of the hotel for a bite.

Had a few issues with smell in room, moved rooms. 3rd room ok. Had to go for towels on numerous occasions. We were at the end of the corridor and thought the maid ran out of towels by the time she got to us. Food was often cold even though we were in the dining room first. The queuing system in the dining room is a joke. The French tourists need to be advised that they need to queue like everyone else. Very rude.

We stayed here for 11 nights in May, all inclusive. The hotel itself is nice, the rooms are very spacious and the staff work hard to keep it clean daily. There are two pools (and a third is a small kids pool) we opted for the slightly smaller pool each day as it was more quiet than the large pool which had entertainment around it throughout the day. We found the food to be really good, there was a lot of variety to the food and the staff worked hard to clear tables and replenish the food. The only thing we would say is labelling could have been better, sometimes there were descriptions but most often there were not - so this could pose a bit of a problem for anyone with allergies? We did a bit of guess work on some of the dishes so labelling would have helped to reduce waste had we known the meat / sauce etc. but we felt there was a good variety each day, and plenty of food available. The hotel is very busy so there are queues for the food and also for the outside bars, especially during the entertainment in the evening. Many of the reviews on here before our stay mentioned rude staff, this was not our experience at all. The front of house staff were welcoming and helpful, the chefs and hospitality staff clearly work very hard to feed hundreds of people, the lifeguards keep the pool areas tidy and the bar staff were always friendly. The cleaners always said good morning to us and cleaned our room throughly every single day. The location of the hotel is also very good, we used the bus stop which is a short 5 minute walk up the road to get a direct bus to Las Americas (this took about an hour). We used the supermarket just up the road and there is also a lovely view of the sea just across the road. We would highly recommend the Italian Sorriso just over the road (for drinks and or dinner) and also Sunset Bar, which is a sports bar with really friendly staff. Despite going during term time, there were lots of children around and the hotel was very busy & noisy. On this basis we wouldn’t return (as we are a couple with no children) but we would have no reservations in recommending this stay to our friends with children, or those that don’t mind a bit more of a lively atmosphere.
