Excellent value for money! It's clean, hygienic, and in a great location, just 1.8 km from the South Gate of the ancient city. It was really convenient to grab a taxi in the morning to the direct bus station for Datong Ancient City scenic area. There's an Oriental Sliced Noodle restaurant nearby that locals highly recommend – it's delicious. They even let you borrow two books to read in your room, and I was amazed to find a Lonely Planet Shanxi! That book is out of print and goes for around 200 yuan online, and it was incredibly helpful for finalizing my itinerary for the next few days.

This hotel's industrial-chic design creates a sophisticated and unique ambiance. The concrete floors and minimalist layout are truly striking, making every photo opportunity Instagram-worthy. Inside the room, the tatami bed with a soft mattress is a highlight. The bathroom features a dry/wet separation and is immaculately clean with no strange odors, and all toiletries are individually packaged, showing great attention to detail. The front desk offers a complimentary 'treasure chest' of essentials like makeup remover and razors. With shopping centers and parking readily available nearby, it's convenient whether you're driving or using public transport.

Overall, my stay at the Dadan Hotel was excellent. The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped, with everything functioning perfectly. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very efficient, which made me feel incredibly comfortable and secure during my stay. It was super convenient to catch a taxi right outside the hotel, and there's also a bus available to the Yungang Grottoes. I'm very satisfied.

Finally got to visit Datong with my parents, and it was great! I was a bit worried they wouldn't be comfortable with a tatami mat, but they slept really well. The Dadan housekeeper provided excellent and thoughtful service; they were able to explain everything I needed to know about where to go and what to do, which made exploring with my parents wonderful. If I get the chance to visit Datong again, I'll definitely choose Dadan Hotel!

The butler service was both warm and professional. They proactively offered travel tips and recommended local delicacies. The place was spotless, and all the towels were disposable, which gave me complete peace of mind. The common areas were also impeccably maintained. Facilities were comprehensive, service was excellent, the location was convenient, and the price was affordable. With room types for families, solo travelers, and business guests, it caters to all needs.

Choosing Datang Hotel for my trip to Datong was definitely the right decision! The location is excellent, close to the ancient city, making it easy to get around, and the surroundings are quiet. The front desk staff were warm and thoughtful, and even proactively offered travel and food guides for Datong. The room was clean and comfortable, the bedding was soft, and all the toiletries were single-use, clean, and hygienic. My entire experience was fantastic.
