The Art Hotel Denver, Curio Collection by Hilton

Denver downtown/capitol hill Denver|0.38km from Liberty Park
The Art Hotel is obviously fun to visit due to the great art everywhere (including a massive work on an adjoining building) but what is less obvious is the care and quality of service Alex and Barbara at the front desk are great examples. There was a problem with our room and Alex quickly resolved it in our favor, and later as we were dining in FIRE the hotel’s restaurant, Barbara came over to our table see if we were happy and everything was OK. The fact that she did that after her shift told me something about her and the obvious care she took with us, but also the management that encourages such personal warm attention to guests. Similarly, when I’d forgotten something in our car, Joe the valet ran up and fetched it for me with an understanding smile. He did that in a most genuine way - and without the outstretched hand and look of expectation of a tip one sees in the staff of lesser hotels. He, along with the expert and caring attention of Doug and David our servers in the bar and restaurant who were so friendly and professional, greatly added to the sense of connection and warmth we felt throughout our stay. Both Joe and Barbara deserve extra credit for friendly, helpful attention - traits that have to come naturally from good people. In the present environment of short staffing and hard to find quality staff, the Art Hotel has hit a home run. We’ll be back when we visit Denver again.

My husband and I spent a couple days here and were pretty satisfied with it. The room was clean and nice. And the bed was very comfortable!! Location was great as well. They charge a daily fee of $35 for parking but there are plenty of other parking garages close for way less. They have a 24 hour self service spot where you can buy snacks and drinks which was helpful. The elevator was extremely slow and a part of our floor was under construction. Also, the pool water was way too warm. It may be listed on their website as heated but I was not prepared. It was 98 degrees outside and we couldn’t even sit in the pool. The biggest complaint was the service. I asked one of the front desk gentlemen if we could bring drinks up to the rooftop pool or if there was bar service and he had no idea. His response was “I think you can?” When we got up to the pool and tried to call to order food and drinks they told me we had to come down and order it from the bar and pick it up from the bar. Which is fine but at the pool area they literally had a phone, next to a menu, and a sign that said use this phone to order food?? They also only have breakfast and dinner hours listed but when I asked if they do lunch too she wasn’t sure and put me on hold to check. It was just a little misleading. Like how do you not know if you serve lunch too? The only awesome service we had was the bartender we had for lunch and drinks. He was knowledgeable and quick to take care of us. Overall 4/5 hotel stay. We would probably come back since the bed was comfy and the room was nice and spacious.

Homewood Suites by Hilton Denver Downtown-Convention Center

Just completed a 3-night stay for business. Friendly and efficient breakfast staff, Valerio and his dining teammates kept the coffee, fresh fruit, bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages and other goodies well stocked, clean and always top notch. This Homewood Suites location shares its breakfast facilities with the Hampton Inn, but the dining room was always welcoming, calm and space was always available, thanks to the constant attention of the staff. What would make this hotel perfect, is a front desk team that likes helping guests with basic needs, such as the ability to use a printer to print boarding passes or documents. On Tuesday morning, Sept 13 at around 8:15 am, I asked the front desk staff member J. about using the business center so that I can print a document. He said, ”we closed our business center a while back, there's a computer down there (pointing to the end of the lobby) and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't...” And of course, it didn't work. I got the distinct impression that J. wasn't interested in helping me, and I was taken aback by the complete indifference. I looked for someone else to ask but it was not meant to be. Note to self: forget about the disappointing front desk service, and focus on the beautiful view from the 12th floor room, and the great service from the dining room staff!

I went to the Colorado Convention Center to participate in the exhibition. I chose Embassy Suite Denver because it was close to it. I found it very close after I checked in. I can see the entrance of the exhibition hall from the window of the hotel room. I will turn left and go to a traffic light. It is too convenient to walk 150 meters. The breakfast on the 4th floor is rather monotonous. The only thing you can do is to make the omelette. You can choose all kinds of ingredients, vegetables, cheese, and the waiting time is not short. The Stout Social restaurant next to the hotel is also great, with oysters, salmon and steak.

I expected a lot better. The location is great for the city sights. Close to all the key areas (and it’s a good walking city). But the number of homeless people around is quite shocking and can make you feel very uncomfortable. It’s only 20 mins walk from Union St but you’ll need a taxi if you have luggage. Lyft and Uber are your friends but pricing is very variable. The reception of the hotel is non-descript and service slow if there’s a conference in the hotel. The rooms are dark. Too dark. They are also small. Beds and pillows are comfortable. Bathrooms need refurbished - they are looking tired. (We stayed twice in the space of a week). Towels were thick and soft; toiletries good quality. The only restaurant is a sports bar in the basement. This is particularly disappointing for a hotel of this quality. Space, service and quality can therefore be problematic. We left one morning when service was particularly bad. There is no Exec Lounge. A major drawback and a dumbing down of the chain. Instead of lounge access we were given $15 per night to spend. This could not buy you breakfast….probably just one drink in the bar. The US chain could learn from Hilton elsewhere in the world. On second visit we arrived at 1720 and our room still wasn’t ready. However the front desk subsequently let us have a late checkout for our own departure. That all said, you’ll be able to do better at this price.

This is a beautiful property with fun and interesting artwork, great visuals with furniture and decor (love the green-blue wallpaper in the room bathroom) and good views. Comfortable beds and good shower amenities. Lobby space perfect for working remote or meeting friends. Surprised at how well managed access to the rooftop bar is - great system. But, as always, the people make the difference. Kudos to Miriam and Ryan on the front desk team for making personal connections with my partner and me during our stay. Miriam helped us with several different items including facilitating a check-out and check-in due to two different reservations for one stay for a wedding and Ryan was on top of a problem we had. He went above and beyond to take care of us and the rest of wedding guests who were with us (including the bride, groom and the bride's parents) were as impressed as we were. The team and food at Corrine, the hotel restaurant, is fabulous (shout-out to CJ and Max). Nice outdoor space for afternoon wine! We had two rooms; one larger than the other. The first one needed the electrical extension cord we brought based upon reviews we had read; the second had plenty of outlets. Water in rooms due to altitude - thumbs up. Again, from reviews, I was concerned about the bathroom lay-out but it actually works better than imagined for a couple; for friends or family, a schedule may need to be worked out. Other pluses: great built in drawer safe (would suggest printing instructions as to how to use); and toiletries actually had sticker so you knew they were new. Hotel team went out of their way to recognize Bonvoy status and that was greatly appreciated. We were there for a wedding and the hotel made it a 5 star event. The servers and bar staff were attentive, friendly and professional. The food was some of the best wedding food I have had (still talking about the short rib!). Lovely event space. With free mall bus, access to Union Station for airport light rail very easy. Will not stay anywhere else for future stays in Denver.
