Destiny Scotland Hanover Apartments

The apartments are great, big with a fully equipped kitchenette and very well located. My only complain is that we didn't receive beforehand instructions to enter the apartments so we had to call once we got there.

Great location, very central to everywhere. Apartment was big and had everything you needed. No lifts, but not a deal breaker.

A lot of positives about the property but also a few drawbacks. Great central location, close to transport and all the main sights in Edinburgh. The apartment is well appointed - high quality appliances and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils and cookware. Check-in was easy and well coordinated, but I didn't find the Destiny Scotland business WhatsApp account particularly helpful beyond that. The wifi signal cut out frequently and at one point my devices were telling me the (correct) password didn't match. I messaged Destiny Scotland but got no response, although the signal did eventually return. Final thing and this is reflects my personal preference so might not be relevant for everyone, I found the bed very soft and uncomfortable and it seemed inferior to the rest of the fittings and furniture in the unit. If your preference is toward a soft bed this might be fine, but I didn't sleep well during the stay.

The location is perfect. 5-10 min walk to the castle and royal mile. Tram and bus station just down and shops (for all purpose) just there. Its a 3rd floor apartment with no lift. But it was perfect. We could see on the west the castle and on the east the Scot monument from the windows (and all northside building of royal mile). Very spacious & clean apartment with all facilities (we are a family with 2 kids and we had cooked dinner everyday). Two bathrooms was bonus. Really there is nothing to complain. The only thing I would suggest is to put a door blocker to prevent the auto door closure (doors are heavy and kids cant push the door open).

This accommodation is excellent in every respect—its location, cleanliness, staff friendliness, and overall facilities are all outstanding. The only minor drawback is the absence of an elevator.

The location of the property is near the all the important sites in Edinburgh. The space was well sized and clean. There was in unit laundry that was well received. The building is quite old and the units are up a few floors (no elevators) so if someone has mobility issues, this would not be ideal. Staff were extremely responsive and helpful.
