📍 Brae House, 31 Abbeyhill, Edinburgh

📍 9-13 Market St, Edinburgh

"First time staying in a hostel with triple bunk beds. The old guy on the bottom bunk never stopped talking, then immediately started snoring after his call. In the middle of the night, he'd wake up to eat after snoring."

Destiny - Burnet Point

📍 1-4 Abbey Ln, Edinburgh

"This is a newly built student dormitory. The front desk staff were polite. The price I paid was quite high, probably because there was a concert and it was a weekend. The usual price is actually quite reasonable. I really liked this dorm; it was my first time experiencing something like it. I noticed many of the residents were European and American tourists, as well as Chinese tourists. When I checked in, I met some students who were all very friendly and even helped me with directions. There's also a study room on the top floor, with a kitchen where you can boil water and prepare simple meals. From the top floor, you can see Arthur's Seat."

Code Pod – the Court - Edinburgh

Code Pod – the Court - Edinburgh ★★★★

📍 1A Parliament Square, Edinburgh

"I visited at the end of March, and Edinburgh was still quite cold, especially with the strong winds. The hostel's location is excellent, right by the church on the Royal Mile, making it easy to walk to all the other famous attractions. The room was very clean, and even though I booked a mixed dorm, I was kindly placed in an all-female room. The bed was clean, with a USB charging port, a privacy curtain, a lockable locker, and a shoe cabinet. The communal bathrooms and toilets were spacious, with each shower stall having a separate wet and dry area, plus a hairdryer. I highly recommend having breakfast at the hostel; the waffle I ordered was huge, and guests get a discount. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!"

Destiny Student - Holyrood (Brae House) ★★★★
"The studio rooms are quite spacious, but the facilities seem to vary between rooms. In some rooms, the bed felt like it was about to collapse. It's relatively close to tourist attractions, but a bit further from supermarkets and restaurants."

"The hygiene was absolutely terrible. In the afternoon, while I was resting, the housekeeping staff was incredibly loud and threw the blankets and other items on the floor, which was very unsanitary."

"The location is good, very close to the bus stop, and within walking distance to main attractions. Although it's near two large supermarkets, there are no convenience stores around. The room is a studio with cooking facilities, but it only has basic items like pots, bowls, and cutlery, no cooking oil or seasonings, so you can only prepare the simplest meals. The bathroom is large but has an odor, and water tends to spread all over the bathroom when showering. We stayed for six nights, and no one came to clean or empty the trash. On the third day, we found old trash from previous guests in the bin. Accommodation in Edinburgh is very expensive, so for budget travelers, this is a pretty good option."

"This hotel is close to the National Gallery of Scotland and 2 km from Edinburgh Castle. It's affordable, sometimes even cheaper than a youth hostel, so I would recommend it considering the overall price."

4 Friends House ★★
"First of all, I want to thank the staff. His service attitude is very good. He almost replied to messages in seconds. He also tried his best to meet our needs. The sanitation of the room is also good. Shampoo and shower gel are provided, and there is a bathtub🛁. Everything is satisfactory, except that the location is on the street. When the car drives by, there will be some noise. You may need to wear earplugs to ensure the quality of sleep. But the price is cheap, I am very satisfied"

"Only stayed for one night but the room had a very chill and modern vibe. There is a bus stop outside that takes you closer into the city as parking inside the city centre is quite expensive. Great for couples."

Code Pod – the Court - Edinburgh ★★★★
"It was relatively clean. Other guests' belongings in the room were a bit messy, but there were lockable lockers. The front desk staff were also very welcoming, and there's free WiFi. It seems like you can also participate in activities at the hostel. The bathrooms and everything were quite clean. Someone snored at night, so my sleep was just okay."
