Premier Inn Edinburgh A1 (Newcraighall)

A lovely premier inn, clean and tidy, really friendly staff and a perfect location for our weekend in Edinburgh! Also attached to a wonderful Greene King , the Cuddie Brae, which was much more affordable than pubs closer to the city centre despite being very close!

Close to shops bus train and University was perfect for my trip and the staff were more than above and beyond. Great breakfast too.

This is a great Premier Inn, with spacious parking, ideally located for all of the Golf courses around Edinburgh. The rooms are very comfortable and with the introduction of twin rooms, they are ideal for groups of friends or colleagues to use. The staff are all very helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast is superb with lots of choice of hot and cold food. It's just a shame that the evening meal is no longer available as part of the package.

Let’s start with the good points, the kitchen and front desk staff were great and very helpful. But unfortunately the whole stay was let down by the noise made by the floor both in the hallway and in the room which was so loud it wasn’t even funny!! Any time someone in the room either side or above us walked anywhere it made such noise it was impossible to sleep. We had 2 rooms and the issue was the same in both rooms. Also the bathroom had tiles missing and the bath panel was hanging off. I would highly recommend not staying here.

The hotel was very nice, the bedroom was clean and comfortable. The position is perfect because it's just outside the city, so it's not too busy, but you can easily reach the city centre by bus or by train. We had a great experience.

Great location for the fringe- good access to public transport. Can't beat a premier inn. Excellent staff, pleasant and helpful.

We stayed at this hotel in August 2026 and we enjoyed our experience. The location was close to a large outlet shopping center with many food options but the on-site restaurant Cuddie Brae has great food as well. The train station is steps away and a short ride to city center. Staff were all pleasant and helpful. The rooms are very quiet as well. We would recommend that you consider this hotel.
