Hotel is probably the best location in December as parking is not enforced that month. Other times, you’d need to take a shuttle to the hotel from remote parking lots. Location is smack in the middle of town. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was great. The spa looks nice, but we didn’t partake. The hotel has a great vintage feel, as it’s truly original. We loved the hardwood trim, the caged desk clerk and ease of check-in. Definately a trip into history. The elevator was small and painfully slow, so even after a long wait, there was a good chance you couldn’t board due to other guests (and lots of dogs) filling it. No big deal as there’s no need to rush anywhere. Ah, the room. Interesting hardwood bed which was fairly comfortable. Huge with incredibly tall ceilings. Unfortunately that’s about it for positives. Wall a/c and heat far away but very noisy. Bathroom was newer but horribly designed—I’m sure from the restraints of the vintage space. The toilet was oddly up on a small platform— too small for any function. Shower was also very small with a very long wait for hot water and no control for velocity—you know, a single lever with cold next to off and rotated to hot. Water pressure was weak and I’m glad I only needed one. I wasn’t a fan of the cheap renovation attempts that completely failed the style of the room— modern chrome hardware next to antique bronze. Too bad whoever allowed this was more concerned with cost more than authenticity. The sink was in the bedroom without the slightest bit of privacy. The mirror over the sink was so high, my 5’3 wife had to use her phone on the shelf to see herself. Even my 6’4 self only got the top of my head; the middle of the mirror was 6’6” high. Very bad positioning. All in all, a great hotel with some odd quirks but I’d stay again. It’s a beautiful building.

I enjoyed my stay, and the staff was great; however, the surprise $40, was unnecessary. The lady stated, “in the fine print, when you booked, it states there is a $40 fee for activities and parking”, the fact that it was in fine print, indicates the intent to defraud the customer, and that’s how I felt. It’s not a good way to start out the experience. The staff being great is the only reason I scored this place higher.

The hotel is very old and beautiful. The floors are tilted and creaky. That being said, we had rooms on the 5th floor BUT the Barefoot ballroom is right above and people were up there well past midnight walking all around and what sounded like balls rolling around on the floor ALL night. The beds are a little more firm than our liking - did NOT get a good nights sleep. The rest of the actual town is very quite and asleep past 10:00pm. The staff is wonderful and helpful, the rooms were clean, and the shuttle driver was friendly and knowledgeable of the town.

It was very fun to stay in the Basin Park Hotel, which is right in the center of everything in Eureka Springs. There were many amenities in the room as well as the on-site dining room is excellent.

A nice historic hotel in a seriously quirky city. The location of the hotel was convenient though the parking is down the street they were quick to shuttle us to and from parking. We walked everywhere easily.

The room was just kind of scary floors they felt uneven in the carpet felt old. The woman at the front desk was really rude. I got charged twice from ******* and the hotel and she just got very short with me and kept saying you have to go to ******* I don’t care the lady at the restaurant was super nice though and the restaurant was pretty good. The food was good.

Great place to stay in downtown Eureka Springs. The parking situation is a little odd, but there is a shuttle. We didn’t mind the walk to the parking lot. The hotel room was nice with that old historic feel to it.

Take advantage of the activity pass, many local places give discounts for staying at the Basin and/or Crescent. Shuttle is fantastic for getting around with private parking as well. Less than a 20 minute walk from just about anything, hotel is historic and beautifully preserved with modern amenities.
