My husband and I stayed here for one night at the beginning of October 2020. Check-in time was at 2pm, and the staff members were very efficient and polite, dressed in lovely “yukata”. The room had a nice layout, with two double beds and a television, a separate sitting area with another television and mini-bar area, and a large sofa-bench/bed area by window from which one could view a very large Mt Fuji. There was an indoor bathroom area and a separate shower room that lead to an outdoor hot-bath which was not too hot. I did not even have to add any cold water to it. There was a rooftop hot bath (for women only) and nice larger hot-spring baths on different floors. Other smaller family-baths could be reserved. Note that the towels in the rooms do not have to be taken to these baths since supplies are located there. Pictures may not be taken in any of the baths. The room had guest “yukata” and haori(warm vests) and also another type of top/slacks set which may be worn throughout the hotel. (Note that you might ask in advance about the size ranges of these items). “Tabi” socks were provided for free in our room, and free, packaged small bath towels and amenities were provided for each of us. Two free bottles of water were provided, but items stored in the mini-bar refrigerator need to be paid for upon checkout (as explained by the room attendant upon checking in). There was a nice free selection of tea and coffee in the room, with a nice cup of Japanese tea and a complimentary piece of nutty chocolate upon while being oriented to the room and the layout of the hotel. The level of our room included a free “Taiko” show in the evening (2 shows each night), with ours starting at 8:45pm(the second one). Guests may choose either Japanese or western-style meals. We chose Japanese for both sittings but preferred the quality of the breakast meal, which was very tasty.

Hostel Fujisan You

I had never stayed in a hostel before, and I was pleasantly surprised. This is a very clean place, has a wonderfully fun decor, fresh bread and eggs up for grabs, and all other funky features like band aids and toothbrushes - It was quite amazing for a novice like me! The rooms are small and basic: our had one bunk set and one single. I found the mattress a little thin, but gents didn’t complain. The lounge area is compact, but was good for engaging with other travelers. It’s not the place to have late night fun though, as sound carries a little. The host was a bit cold, but no matter really.

We love this place and the very nice view of Mt Fuji. Everything here is good, spacious and walking distance to Mt Fuji Stn and 7-11. Just that Near the railway sometimes it's a bit noisy but no problems for us. Check in system really difficult, luckily the cleaner passby to help us. We will come back one day.

The room is very large and very comfortable! The hot spring is very hygienic and the water is changed every day. This place is also very close to the town of Tianti. The breakfast is very delicious. The landlord is super good. You can ask him about things you don’t know. Super patient, our language is not very good, he also drove us to the place we wanted to go, a super experience, I will definitely come back to Japan next time!

Location is fantastic a short walk from Mt Fuji station. Property is straight forward and clean, with a great dining area and then a fantastic rooftop with uninterrupted views of Fuji San. (You’ll want to see it from other vantage points but a still great to see it from the hotel so easily.) Bicycles for rent upon availability which are a great way to get around town. Staff are all great and willing to help with any information on things to see and do. One of my best experiences travelling in Japan. Photo is from the rooftop.

Mt Fuji dress circle, Fuji Q Highland theme park stalls! Easy to reach, if you do not have a hire car, from the Fuji Q Highland theme park & Tokyo bus, it is a 15min easy walk. Then you have the theme park right next door & legendary Yoshida hiking trail for the mountain that is Japan. The staff and friendly and helpful, the Lawson/7-11 next door convenient for day activity snacks and provisions. The bus for Kawaguchiko lake is an easy 25mins walk with a back drop that must be the envy of many a footpath 8-).
