CityNote Hotel (Guangzhou Taikoo Hui Shipaiqiao Metro Station)

Good good!!

Good value hotel in a good location, great service with friendly staff. No windows which was not as enjoyable.

Location was superb. Just above shipaiqiao exit D. Staff xiaoshi qas super friendly and helpful. Cek out at 2pm. Bfast was more than enuf and there was snacks on supper too. Great

Stayed only for a night. Located right above Shipaiqiao Metro and opposite the main road is OneLink Mall which is great. Furthermore, it is around 3 stations away from Guangzhou East station which was also the reason why we picked that hotel. However, there is no designated spot for taxi pickup and drop off - done on the bike lane which can be dangerous for tourists visiting China for the first time. Also, a little tricky to find when we first arrived. The entrance is located at the back of the building. We had to ask people around to find it. I felt that the hotel could have give a direction guide in the first place. Service was alright like just doing their job. You ask for refills they will provide. Did specifically requested for adjoining rooms when booking the hotel, but I felt the staffs did not specifically made the effort to fulfil our request (I mean they could have said something like they did their best but unfortunately its not available instead of us asking them and then replying us "dont have". Comparatively to the other hotels I have stayed in Guangzhou I felt service could be better. Nonetheless want to commend the male receptionist for giving us advice to not fall into tourist traps when we asked for recommendations. I would also consider morning breakfast provided under service. I think breakfast options was pretty decent and tasted good. There’s also warm dishes on request. Amenities wise it’s pretty standard but there’s no hand soap…. and the hair dryer in the room can’t open up properly and keeps folding down while using. We found the toilet cubicle and shower cubicle arrangements awkward - toilet door is transparent, shower cubicle door was 90% covered and 10% transparent. There’s only a curtain that covers 3/4 of the toilet and shower area which is weird. The projector speaker was had static noises. Nonetheless there’s USB charging points, shower gel and shampoo smells great. In additional there’s a small gym area with dumbbell rack that looks new. There’s also a self service laundry area too. Cleanliness wise really can be better. Spotting moulds/black patches on the toilet walls and toiletries containers. Nonetheless, the bed was pretty clean and comfortable. All in all, it was an average stay with good location and decent breakfast option.

It's a really small hotel but has all the basic amenities. It is linked to the popular Taikoo mall. Cons: Have to exit from Exit D of train stn and turn left to go up a building to get to hotel. Will be difficult if it is raining and you have 🧳. I topped up on the spot for bigger room with windows. However the windows are really dirty lol. Breakfast is rather basic but advise to go before 10am else there will be no more food left.

Very good location, the room is very claen and quite big but a little smell in the bathroom. The staff also well manner and kind. Overall we have a very good time staying here :)

Great location! It is just beside taikoo Hui, especially for this price is really worth it. It just the entrance to the hotel is not easy to find

This hotel is impossible to find if you can't read Chinese. I also booked a non smoking room... My room reeked of cigarettes though. There was also no soap in the room to wash your hands with after using the restroom. I had to use the shower gel instead. The staff was very nice though, however, while I was gone, I hung the do not disturb card, but one of the housemaids had clearly been in the room...
