Grand Hotel Amrath Kurhaus the Hague Scheveningen

Scheveningen|2.57km from Kunstmuseum Den Haag
After reading the various negative reviews (after booking my trip!) I was mildly apprehensive about my stay here for a number of nights. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel very clean, although the check-in process was a time-consuming.mThe room iI was given was small but quite acceptable for my needs and quite clean. Once up in the room, I tried to call down to reception to clarify a minor issue. They ignored my calls. I rang 3-4 times over a period of 20-30 minutes, on one attemnpt, letting it ring for up to 10 minutes. No answer. I eventually found the information I needed in the small info-sheet after looking carefully. The next day, taking a day off from business, I wanted to stay in my room to write emails and so on, so I put out the 'please make up my room now sign at 8 am and went out for breakfast. There were 4 or 5 people in housekeeping on the floor, who, through the course of the day as I came and went, they, seemed have decided they should be doing every single room EXCEPT mine. I has to go to to reception again around lunch time as I found my key disabled. It took the gentleman on reception 25 minutes (I time this) just to be able to create me a new key, and there was no explanation other than ”the system is playing up”. Also at this time, I specifically asked if they would ensure my room was made up and I was assured he would contact housekeeping to make sure it would be done. I went out to lunch. I returned just before three, and the room remained unattended to. I went to reception, this time to register complain, and was quite brusquely told ”this is jsut because the housekeeping staff are busy”. Obviously so!! BNusy all day long doing every room apart from the only room with the ”please make up my room now ” sign hung on the door!! I asked to speak to the manager and was rebuffed. It was clear from the evasive response to my requrest that the receptionist did not want me to speak to the mana gera. After I said I really did want to speak to the manager I was told she wa s busy but would be along shortly. I expected him to do something to contact the manager such as pick up the phone or go to find her, instenad he simply started to ignore me and began to deal with another customer, which behaviour I found most discourteous. When I remonstrated about this he irritable stated taht ”I'm dealing with your problem by email -- you just can't see what I am writing on my screen”. 15 mins of this silent treatment passed I asked again for the manager and was told she was too busy to talk to me. I returned to my room, and housekeeping finally arrived at 1500. These service failings would be incompatible with a 3* rating hotel, but the ket to this thing is that these annoyances are all people related. it is not any indivudual issue-- these things are routine, and dealt with elegantly in even the cheapest of hotels. I expect more from a so-called 5 start property. I It is a real pity as the latest own

Hotel Bries Den Haag - Scheveningen

We had such a lovely stay, the management team were very helpful and the room was perfect for our family needs. A separate room for the kids with bunk bed meant we could enjoy the evening with separate TV and mini kitchen in the adults area. Plenty of bike rental places very near by which are very cheap. Will definitely stay again.
Best Western Hotel Den Haag

I like the size of the room that has ample space to open a big suitcase on the floor. The bathroom is also nicely heated, and the shower strong and nice. Location was great and safe and easy reach by tram. My son and I even walked to the scheveningen beach from the hotel. Just one note on the rooms : you can hear footsteps from the room above yours.
EasyHotel the Hague City Centre

The hotel is in the heart of the city, next to the palace, from the Hague HS station by tram about 3 stops, walk to the central station about 15 minutes. The hotel is an old building renovation, inside is the decoration style of the hotel. I lived on the first floor, and the windows on the wall were closed. There was only a skylight, which was a bit interesting. The room is quite big, but the furniture is a bit small, only a chair. The bathroom is very clean, but the sink is a bit small. The hotel's quotation does not include the city tax. When you check in, you can only pay the credit card. The tax written on Ctrip's order may be wrong, less than the amount to pay. There is a charge for luggage storage at the front desk. It should be 3 Euros regardless of the quantity. I have two trolleys and I have received a total of 3 Euros.
The Hague Marriott Hotel

This is an older hotel and the upkeep hasn’t been up to standards. The security chain on our door was missing, and the shower head in the bathroom was not appropriate for the shower stall, which has a half wall of glass separating it from the rest of the bathroom, with the other half open. Instead of directing the water straight down (rainfall style) the non-adjustable shower head spreads the water pattern out, which sprays water out of the shower stall into the other half of the bathroom. We had to use the flexible shower wand to keep from making a mess in the bathroom. Breakfast was good, but very crowded on Saturdays. We booked the room with dinner included, but there seemed to have been communication or procedural problems between the front desk staff (which were very nice, but the way) and the restaurant staff (also very nice) on how to use the coupons. We’re issued a multiday coupon, which the restaurant staff insisted they had to take from us on the first day for proof of service, so we had to go back and asked for individual coupons for each day. The location was a little far from center of town, so walking there takes 30-45 minutes. It’s close to parks though, so good if you like nature. In conclusion, it’s an okay place to stay, but not someplace to rave about.
Boulevard Hotel Scheveningen

We were staying for the t**** time in this charming authentic hotel at the Dijk in Scheveningen. You are within a few hundred meters of the pier and the ****** but also in the shopping street. The tram is around the corner you bring to Den Haag or Delft. The hotel is not in a better location, because there is no continuous traffic for the door when you book the rooms with sea view. We chose a luxury room with sea view ( room 11). This is a spacious room on the first floor (there is no lift!) with front sea view. There is a room with more room where you have a bank next to a seat. If you want to have the absolute top, you can choose for luxury with whirlpool then you have an angle front sea view and a balcony on the side with side view. Breakfast is like before great and the reception top. We could lose the car in the parking lift and stood above this time so we could leave freely without help. This time we also dinned in the hotel ( menu with choice only for hotel guests). This was a very pleasant discovery!
Hotel Indigo the Hague - Palace Noordeinde

The Indigo in The Hague is in the heart of the city. It is just two tram stops from The Hague Central Station. It is within walking distance from the Peace Palace, the Parliament, the Mauritshuis and other attractions. Noordenburg Palace is also within easy reach. Convenient, as the front desk staff is very friendly, and the efficiency is very high, the design of the rooms is also very special, breakfast is OK, the overall stay feels good, can recommend.
