The team is super friendly & warm - always smiling & assisting with questions, directions & suggestions. Clean Rooms With 100% noise cutting windows. We stayed in the basic room facing the road & slept blissfully all nights. The Marski has the best best breakfast spread I have ever seen in a hotel in all my 27 years of travel. They have options for every kind of guest. It's unbelievably thoughtful Though we didn't go to the bar, it was packed most evenings with DJ music playing & gave the hotel a lively atmosphere

The location is great, it is the most lively location in Helsinki, just a few hundred meters away from the lv store. We can see the church in the attic sky room, and there are seagulls flying from the window from time to time. Opposite the hotel is a small park. It was also seen that there was a wedding there, and it was a small church with a green top. The last picture is the street where the hotel is located, and the green top is the church that is next to it. On the top of the bed and on the top of the shower room are clear glass, you can see the blue sky is super like. When you are lying in bed or going to the bathroom, you can see the church outside the window. The facilities are very smart. The skylights on the top of the bed have electric curtains. Don't worry that the transparent top is too bright. I really like this small Nordic loft. It’s really a small but complete sparrow. The hotel front desk lady is very enthusiastic. The whole hotel feels very good, the breakfast waiter is very warm, but we only stayed for one night on Friday, because it was full on Saturday night, if I stayed here next time.

This hotel is beautiful! We loved staying here for a night in March. The included breakfast was one of the best I had while visiting Finland. It had a great selection of fresh food and the dining area was nice. Our sauna in our room was the major reason I booked this hotel, and it was well worth it. Even though it was winter and snowing outside, the balcony was a great feature. After having the sauna on for a while, the room got pretty hot, so I got to open the doors and feel the icy air come into the room. So relaxing. One thing that got old was the videos of the other resorts on repeat in the elevator and dining area. We loved the Sami music playing in the room upon check in though. It was a great touch.

The good: Pre stay communication with the hotel was done smoothly and the reception replied quickly to my email. In my email I requested an early check-in as well as a table reservation from the Brasserie restaurant. The receptionist said that the staff would do their best in order to accommodate my early check in request and booked the table from the restaurant for me. When I arrived at the hotel this was true and I was given my room at 1 pm, so 2 hours prior to standard check-in time. The receptionist who checked me in was very kind and tried to speak Swedish with me. She also remembered that I had stayed there before and said welcome back to me. She also said that it would be fine if I checked out an hour later so at 1 pm. The room was upgraded one category up from deluxe to premium deluxe. In addition, there was a greeting card from the General manager welcoming me back to Helsinki and a small box of chocolates which was a nice touch. The Spa at the hotel is absolutely fabulous and it’s a nice place to relax after a busy day. Always worth the visit. The receptionist who checked me out was very kind and remembered to welcome me back again. The bad: Overall, I had a very good stay here. There weren’t any major flaws during my stay, but there were some mistakes done by the restaurant Brasserie kitchen in my food order. However, the restaurant waiters were very kind and apologetic. They even offered me a complimentary salad while I waited for my dinner order to get corrected.

We travelled as a family in August 2022. We had already book a Junior Suite and my top tier of IHG Status was not really recognised except for the breakfast. There was no room upgrade offered nor were there any extra amenities for the room or even a welcome letter. We did have access to The Club Lounge which had limited breakfast choices and then a decent evening buffet between 6pm and 8pm. The lounge was rarely staffed and the door was left open so I am unsure if all those in the lounge enjoying the beer and wine had full entitlement. It would have been nice if the desk in the lounge had been manned at certain times. The staff we met were all most friendly. The breakfast on the ground floor could not be faulted. Service was polite and most efficient. Cooked eggs were available on request. Vegans had a wide choice and this part of the hotel ran well. The hotel boasted the IHG Clean Promise. There were areas that needed attention. When I advised staff that the lifts were dirty and used glasses were in corridors this was attended to promptly. Moving forward the hotel needs to promote itself better. There are empty poster display cabinets everywhere. They could be used to promote the health club, restaurants and room service. If visiting the Hotel we recommend the restaurant Kuu which is opposite the side entrance of the Hotel. Booking is advised.

GLO Hotel Kluuvi is an excellent choice for a weekend in Helsinki. First reason is location. 7-10 min walk from the central train station, trams right outside the door, numerous restaurants next door, 5 min walk to the cathedral and 7-10 min walk to market square. Second reason is the price. We stayed in shoulder season, and payed about $150 per night including taxes and fees, internet and breakfast. Third reason is breakfast. Hotel breakfast saves you money, but it’s even better when it’s good. Their buffet offered hot foods (eggs, bacon, sausages and veggies), cereals, cheese, meat, breads, fruit, coffee/tea, and even custom juice from a dispenser controlled by an iPad app. They also had special dietary options including gluten free and lactose free. Fourth reason is the rooms. They were comfortable and spacious with all needed amenities. Overall we are thrilled with our choice to stay at GLO and would stay again.

Scandic Pasila was a great place - good price, beautiful rooms, fabulous breakfast, super service and close to modes of transportation. It's about a 12 minute walk from the Tripla Mall which is a railway stop. We could catch trains easily to the waterfront area where we caught trams to other parts of the city. The system is easy and convenient. There is even a tram stop right outside the hotel and we used that line several times. Our room had twin beds that pushed together to make a king-size bed. We had plenty of floor and storage space, a small fridge, desk, closet and nice, roomy bathroom. The windows had room darkening shades that helped with outside light at night. The nicest feature was that the floor of the bathroom was HEATED as well as the several-layer towel racks! It was nice to not feel cold on your feet in the bathroom and it was easy to rinse clothing items out and dry them on the towel racks - very nice! The hotel is big and well maintained. The staff helped with every question or need we had. We never encountered anyone unwilling too help us. The breakfast area is huge but can get congested if there is a conference in town or the hotel is full. You can take food to your room but we found space every day in the dining room. The food was plentiful and varied: meats, cheeses, vegetables, fruits, yogurt, granola, cereals, breads, rolls, jams, muffins, breakfast casseroles, eggs, desserts, candy, hot and cold drinks. We will definitely stay there again and we will suggest it to friends traveling to Helsinki.

We just stayed 4 nights in this brillant hotel in Helsinki. Location is top, near everything. Staff at reception was always very helpful and had a lot of information for us for visiting this exciting city. Room was good and quiet (to the backyard, we could sleep with open windows). Following the concept of the hotel, there is no minibar in the room, but a large communal fridge in the lobby area. Safe available at the reception. The hotel bar is also highly recommended. Courteous service and good (seasonal) drinks, beer, etc. Outside opening hours, drinks are available in a fridge and can be paid for at reception. Absolutely recommendable hotel for Helsinki.

All floors have different themes related to Finnish nature (Winter storm, Midsummer, Fairytale forest, Sisu, Tranquility) and the front desk let us choose between a couple of themes. We weren't sure what they were going to be like, but chose Fairytale forest, which was ok. The room was a bit on the small side and with a view to an inner courtyard - however this was to be expected with the room type. The room was really quiet, which was a bonus in the middle of the city! Breakfast was nice, mostly European style with breads etc. Would definitely recommend the hotel for the central location and Finnish style, if you want to experience that.

Hotel traffic: Take the light rail to Helsinki-Vantaa Airport to the Central Railway Station, get off at the terminal (Central Railway Station), about 30 minutes, the ticket is 4.1 Euro; if the luggage is not too heavy, you can walk to the hotel, about 20 Minutes, 1.5 kilometers away, via the National Museum of Finland, the main library of the University of Helsinki. 2. Hotel facilities: clean and simple, typical Scandinavian style, the bed is very soft; remind two points: a) the hotel does not provide a kettle, slippers; b) long-haired girls suggest to bring a hair dryer, the hotel's hair dryer power is small; 3. Breakfast at the hotel: Breakfast is rich in variety, both cold and hot. The hotel provides oatmeal and pickles for friends who are not used to western food. If you are not used to eating cold food for breakfast, there is a microwave oven on the side and you can heat it by yourself. ; 4. Hotel services: The front desk and room attendants are very enthusiastic and friendly, and they also know how to protect the privacy of guests. One reminder: a) If you need to provide room cleaning and finishing services, you must hang the service tag on the door handle; 5. We stayed two and a half months. There are 3 blocks of self-check-in apartments (A, B and C) in this property which are all connected from the basement. The entrance code will be emailed to you after 4:00 pm. Call customer service if you face a problem and the phone number is on the entrance door. Pros -Good central location: 10 min walk to Kamppi mall, metro, tram and bus stations. -The floor plan of the apartment was good. Enough space allocation to kitchen, bedroom, living room and all of these had windows to the outside. -The bedroom had lots of closets. -Our flat had balcony. -The Wi-Fi was good, and the lighting was ok Cons -The building is old and has a small lift that doesn’t go to the basement (-1 level) where all common facilities such as luggage room, saunas, garbage room, etc. are located so you need to use stairs. -There are also some stairs to reach the lift from the street with no ramp for wheelchairs or luggage. -Huge construction is going on next to block C (very noisy and disturbing). -There is a large school facing block C and B and children making lots of noise. -The apartment needs some renovation (old furniture, broken sofa bed with deformed sponge, broken shower handle, etc.) -Cleaning was not good, much dust on and under sofa bed and on the radiators and under TV Stand, stains on the walls, burnt rice stuck in one of the pots and was not cleaned, electric kettle was rusty. We had paid for apartment cleaning every two weeks, but we were not happy with the work of cleaner and we ended up doing the cleaning ourselves. -The bathroom radiator was cold and couldn’t be fixed during our stay. - Inside temperature was mostly about 18 degrees Celsius during November; The living room window was not insulated and heating system was not functioning well. -Apartment service was not satisfying in case of repair and fixes and took lot of time (some cases did not even get fixed); If you are lucky and spare part is available it may take between 3-10 working days otherwise you better forget about it. -High price so not good value for money considering the issues. -There is no safety deposit box in the flat. -Customer service personnel have the entrance code and they may come and go to your flat without prior notice no matter if you are present or not.
