"I was only informed that the morning sauna was free, so I paid to use the sauna at night. However, I’m now wondering if guests staying at the hotel were actually allowed to use the sauna at night for free as well, since I heard that other guests using the sauna didn’t pay. it’s amazing that you can stay at a hotel with a sauna included for this price."

"Good central location, but very limited facilities. I was in Finland and expected at least a sauna like most hotels here — but there isn’t one. The rooms are quite bare, with no TV or couch, and the common area feels small considering the number of rooms. On the positive side, everything was very clean, and the location is excellent for getting around the city. Overall, it’s fine if you just need a reasonably priced place to sleep, but don’t expect much beyond that."

"The hotel's location is pretty good; you can actually walk to most of the main attractions. There's also a rooftop where you can see different sights. The hotel lobby is very distinctive, and it includes a buffet breakfast with a wide selection. Even if you have an early flight the next day and can't make breakfast, the front desk staff are very thoughtful and will arrange sandwiches and drinks for you. On the downside, the sauna's operating hours are from 5 PM to 9 PM, which often means we're not in the hotel and can't use it."

"Room was big and spacious. Breakfast was great and the staff were polite whenever I meet them along the way to the lift or back to my room. I would like to suggest if a dual card can be provided so that the room can be kept alight when the card key is removed and bring out as sometime the room is too dark and the door closes too fast before I can slot in the card. This hotel is close to the Helsinki central station and most of the itenary such as Helsinki cathedral or some of the nicely decorated library."

"Staff are friendly, breakfast is good with variety of choices. The sea view is slightly disappointing. Sofa bed is not in good quality. Bottle water put on the table at 5 Euro per bottle - please either take them away or provide them free to customer. I would not say this stay is bad - but honestly a lot better experience for my previous stays in Hilton hotels in other countries. Don't feel I spent the money worthy this time."

"Noli studios is a best place for tourists to stay with. The location was nice and the room is perfect. It located at Malmi station if you take train. For this location, it was nice because it takes only 10-15 mins walking distance to reach two supermarkets nearby from Noli studio. Other than that, it took only 5-10 mins walking distance to reach the railway station from Noli studio. So, the location is perfect for those who wanted to stay. Besides, Noli studio also very good for the people to stay with because there is a direct train can reach the airport, so you no need to worry abt it. It is very convenient for people to stay with Noli studio. Other than that, the railway station can actually reach the Helsinki which is the most popular destination from only 5 stations away from Malmi. Overall it was nice, the room can cook and it is big enough for us to stay. People here are also quite nice when serving us."

DDaliThe location, service, cleanliness, and facilities are all excellent. The one thing I would like to add is this - I am a person who works out at the gym a lot. I have my own requirements when it comes to gym facilities. From my past experience in travelling, even for top 5 star hotels, the gym generally speaking at just so - so. For NH collection Helsinki, frankly speaking this is the first hotel gym I ever encountered that has a proper squat rack - and with proper bars - and with proper plates. I have never seen this before. Most 5-star hotel gyms, at most, has a ”smith machine” only. With a proper squat rack, a lot of serious workouts can be done - bench press, squat, and deadlift. Therefore, I give extra credit to NH collection Helsinki for having the vision to house a proper squat rack.

HheidiOverall, my recent stay with Bob W was disappointing. I booked the 4-person penthouse room primarily for the use of the sauna on my last day of the trip. Firstly, pin code provided was only valid for door access to the stairs, not door to the elevator side at night. This became a significant inconvenience, especially for a female traveler like myself who arrived at night after a tiring flight. Having to carry a 20kg luggage and a 10kg carry-on up five flights of stairs was both physically demanding and frustrating. Clear arrangements on how to access the elevator at night should have been considered for guest. Secondly, check-in process was not clearly communicated, causing panic upon arrival. Unfortunately, I had to seek help from customer service on a third-party booking site and reach out via email to obtain a check-in link, which added unnecessary stress and confusion. Furthermore, instruction for turning on the sauna were unclear, and I was unable to enjoy it until the next morning at 8am, just few hours before my checkout time. I had specifically chosen the penthouse room with the sauna for a relaxing and enjoyable experience. due to the lack of clear instructions, and had to seek assistance to figure out how to operate it properly, which ate into the limited time I had available to enjoy the amenity. In conclusion, my stay with Bob W fell short of my expectations. The limited time to enjoy the amenities, issues during the check-in process and accessing the elevator, made for a less than satisfactory experience. I hope that Bob W seriously takes feedback into consideration and makes the necessary improvements to ensure a more enjoyable stay for travelers in the future. Thank you

VVon30Overall stay was ok. However room design was very weird. Bathroom floors were not heated which wasn’t great during the cold weather. Tried calling reception several times to request  for an extra heater as the room heating wasn’t sufficient. Nobody answered and had to go down to reception to request for one. Funny thing is even the reception staff was not aware if it was available.  I have never been to a hotel where the staff at reception would answer me with “I don’t know” or I’m not sure, I need to check. Breakfast spread was good with many choices.

GGuest UserThe hostel is perfect for travelers in search of a fair accommodation at the heart of helsinki city centre. It’s quite strange though that receptionists and hostel staff are almost never present and the only appearances were the one of the cleaning maid. The result is that guests don’t really communicate or interact no matter the huge living room and sofas and the fact that they all have to share the kitchen amenities. What happens is that the level of tidiness and accountability for the usage of mugs, plates, cutlery depends on your luck and the guests who check in each and every day. By the last day we had partygoers stopping only for a night out and cans of pepsi and a bottle of vodka were left on the common table (not sure if it was a shy invite to indulge) while the sink and the dishwasher were crammed with badly rinsed stuff. It’s a pity cause the common showers, the toilets and the rooms were fairly clean, we simply expected the typical hostel experience where you manage to socialize a bit more thanks to the staff.

BBeefstuSenate Hotel, although basic, is situated well for local attractions - 10 minutes walk from the shops/ restaurants/nightlife of Helsinki city centre; 15 minutes walk from the harbour, if you arrive by ferry; and right next to Senate Square/Helsinki Cathedral. The hotel, itself, is based in an apartment building, on the fifth floor, and has ten rooms. There's a five-hour window, in which there's a receptionist to meet you (3-8pm). Outside of this time, you are given a code to enter the main door of the building, and then the front door of the hotel section, which I had to do. As it turned out, a friendly staff member was still there when I arrived, and I was fortunate enough to be given a free room upgrade. The double room I was given, was larger than average, and included a wash basin and small refrigerator. The bathroom and toilets are shared, but clean with a good, strong shower, and separate men's and women's toilets. There's also a small shared kitchen, so you could prepare food. My hotel room had a comfy bed, and good thick enough curtains which, if you're here in the height of Summer, means you won't be woken by the sunrise before 4am! The decor is a bit dated, but if you need info on what to do, where to go, and what's happening in Helsinki, there's lots of information. This is more of a short-stay hotel - a few days, at most, but if you need a well-located, warm, simple place to base yourself while in the city, this is actually a good choice.
