Check in was 3pm. I had pre arranged with the property for an early check in at 1pm so I could go on a day trip. I was horrified when I opened the door to the apar**ent and it hadn’t been cleaned. I initially thought I was in the wrong place. I rang the owner who said her cleaner forgot. Cleaner came over and did it in about 20-30 minutes with her young kid so it wasn’t properly cleaned.
It’s a code on a keypad to get in which you are emailed before you check in so I just didn’t feel safe that it wasn’t a new code for every guest. The owner tried to contact me the day I was leaving to offer me a bottle of wine but I had left early for ferry.
Location is ok bus outside to ferry, airport and bus terminal. Short stroll down to the centre.

Amazing stay at this place, we stayed 1 night only. they offer a transfer to the airport also upon request at an extra fee which was very handy as there are no taxi apps in Crete. Amazing overall

I had the good idea to contact the person in charge of the apar**ents in Crete because everything is computerized and the entry code for the apar**ent had not been sent to me.
Otherwise we would have slept outside.
The apar**ent is not designed properly in the shower room. The shower drain was clogged, full of hair and limescale which flooded everything. We have unblocked this because it has never been done. Another problem was that the exterior lights (LED) of the Dorado Accommodation lit the entire apar**ent and overlooked the bed all night long. There was no possibility of obstructing this powerful light. No possibility of hanging or storing bath towels or others, nor toilet brushes and brooms to collect water following blockages from overflowing the shower. Dining area non-existent!
