First of all, the resort is breath-taking. Modern, clean, luxury. Unfortunately the service was hit and miss (was it because it was the start of the season, so the staff wasn't trained well yet?) Anyhow, Let's start from the beginning. Upon reservations, we requested for a quiet room as i am a very light and sensitive sleeper. They gave us room 118, very close to the breakfast restaurant - where there is always live instrument (violinist) every morning until 11.30ish. And room 118 was also very close to one of the bars where they have live music until midnight-ish. Not quiet for sure! Check in experience - almost non existence. Yes we did arrive quite late, around 23.45- and only the night receptionist was there. But we paid the same price as those who checks in during the day. We felt really rushed, no explanation on the resort whatsoever, let alone a tour. I was celebrating my birthday on 00.00, so we said to the receptionist we wanted to have a quick drink at the bar before heading to the room, as we wanted to relax ourselves after a long tiring journey. However, he insisted that we MUST go to the room first and then go to the bar after. We did not want to argue, so we went to the room, but seriously WHY? We weren't informed about anything! the restaurants, wifi, SPA, pool opening hours, breakfast lunch hours, all basic stuff, NOTHING! In the room we were shown by a bell boy all the obvious - the aircon, toilet, etc. But not important information like a mere WIFI. A guest relation officer approached us the next day when we were sunbathing on the beach asking if we want a resort tour.. I mean.. we were relaxing, they should've approached us during breakfast instead, not when we were in our swimwear already. Then the aircon of the room was very unstable. I set it up to 21 degree, but at some point in the middle of the night it became hot! I had the worst sleep! I even noticed around 06.00, the aircon was completely turned of for 10 seconds, then restarted. I did report this to their guest relation officer, however the problem persisted every night, i woke up covered in sweat! The phone in the room next to our bed was not working, we had to use the small phone in the bathroom. I mentioned this to front office, they said they will send maintenance to fix it. Until our last day it was not fixed, even to call a bell boy for check out we used the toilet phone. And nobody ever checked whether the phone is now working or not. Housekeeping was also hit and miss. Every now and then they forgot to give us a small floor towel to wipe our feet after shower. We had to use the face towel! Face tissue was never topped up! They also NEVER top up the coffee pod for the coffee machine. We had to call and ask, and yes from the toilet phone. We also asked for an extra duvet, they said yes and never came. We had to chase it. All and all, we did not feel LISTENED since the beginning of reservation and during the whole period of our stay. We had lunch at th
