Shilin Homestays

Located on a small slope about 100 meters from Torch Square, it offers a quiet retreat amidst the hustle and bustle. Every room in the guesthouse has large floor-to-ceiling windows, is simple, bright, clean, and cozy. The overall temperature is between 10 and 20 degrees Celsius, very comfortable. You can sit on the terrace and in the first-floor garden and enjoy the blue sky, white clouds, and starry night. There are quite a few restaurants in the village, so ordering takeout is convenient. I heard that long-stay guests can use the guesthouse kitchen. The landlady is very nice. If you like a large outdoor space, you can book this place without hesitation.

The owner of this homestay is a local and Mandarin is very pure. The homestay is in the village and it is easy to find. The car is parked on the side of the road. The boss also introduced our local beef hot pot restaurant, calculated by weight. Then we also bought fruit at the entrance of the village, calculated in kilos, quite good value, all planted in their own orchard.

Our travel is mainly a safety issue. Since the hotel has parking service, it should also be the service scope. My car is not parked outside and it is actually scratched. I observed the cars parked in several shops around. They are all very good. My car was scratched. No disaster, give a wake-up call to passengers who will stay in the store in the future, safety first! Choose safety!

This was by far the BEST accommodation we stayed in China!! We booked two rooms because I'm travelling with my sister and her boyfriend. Both rooms were extremely clean, the best comfortable beds ever, hot shower, air con, all the toiletries were good quality and the staff were amazing!!!! They helped us out with everything!! Even though they don't speak English or any other language (like elsewhere in China), they were extremely helpful and we managed to communicate with the translator. We stayed two nights but we would have loved to stay longer which was not possible because visa's expiring soon. When we got there, they made us delicious noodles with beef and vegetables and my brother in law is still dreaming to get the same tasty noodles somewhere else in China 😊 We don't know the names of the hosts, maybe they are wife and husband (we are not sure) but surely this was the top accommodation and treatment we have received in China so we would like to thank you two again for everything you have done for us. We are sure your next guests will enjoy their stay at your place just the same as we did. Thank you from Sarah, Myriam and Fabio.

It's really great, and the phone ringing of the boss's wife is also nice. Because of love 🎵, the feeling to me is that the boss must be a romantic and story-telling woman haha. The homestay is very book-like and warm. The few days I went to Kunming to catch up with the big cooling, and it was too warm to turn on the electric blanket and air conditioner for us in advance! This living experience is very good, very good.

The rooms are clean and hygienic, the air-conditioning power is large and the heating is fast, the 24-hour hot water is great, the surrounding restaurants can meet the daily needs, and the small square often has ethnic literary activities that are very lively. The stay experience is good and cost-effective, very satisfied.

Yijiaqin Hotel is a better choice to go to Shilin Scenic Area. To the ticket office of the scenic spot 1.5 kilometers, there are many foods nearby and there is a small farmer's market, there is a restaurant, there is breakfast, breakfast needs to be bought back at the hotel. The boss and his family were very enthusiastic. On the night of the arrival, they drove us to dinner, radish pork ribs, tomato scrambled eggs, three-person rice, 60 yuan, great value. The hotel room decoration is Yi style, clean and hygienic.

I found the guesthouse a lovely stay, with clean rooms, helpful staff, and good facilities. It's location is a bit far from the main city centre, however as a solo traveller who wanted to visit the beauty stone forest, it is very convenient and very close to the site.

Thank you very much to the boss, a group of 4 of us, we stayed in on January 21 and visited Shilin on the 22nd.
