Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong

The hotel is really nice. I stayed here for three out of four days during my trip to Hong Kong. On the third day, I tried JEN at Shangri-La, and the experience there definitely wasn't as good as here. Even though JEN is a bit closer to Central, the rooms were much smaller. On the day I checked in there, I couldn't even borrow a power adapter, and the next morning, only two were available to borrow, and I had to go down to the front desk myself to pay a HKD 200 deposit for each. However, during my stay at Hyatt Centric, whether I needed to buy bottled water, borrow a power adapter, or get a hot water kettle, the response was incredibly fast. All the staff were very friendly, and borrowing a power adapter didn't even require a deposit – I mean, who would secretly take a power adapter, right, haha? Thanks to the sister who helped upgrade my room to a sea view, sorry I forgot her name, I think it was something like 'Pa'. I also got to experience both the East and West wings of this hotel. I'll definitely come back to stay again if I get the chance. Highly recommended! The complimentary snack vouchers were also delicious and worth checking out.

The room was so small, it was instantly unacceptable for the price. We arrived at 2 AM from the airport with elderly family and children, only to be given a room directly opposite the elevator lobby. The room felt noisy from outside, and at dawn, we realized it was also facing an elevated road – double the noise! There was construction noise even during our late-night check-in, and the staff were cold and indifferent throughout our stay. No bottled water was provided in the room. This Hyatt at this price point is definitely one to avoid.

The service was great, and I especially loved the snack vouchers they gave me – I probably wouldn't have sought out those snacks otherwise. The room offered a partial sea view and was very quiet. I also really liked the capsule coffee machine. The gym has a full sea view, and the restaurant boasts a beautiful sea view too, or so I hear?

The room has a great view and the service is excellent. The subway station is just a two-minute walk away, making it super convenient for getting around. Plus, there's a shopping mall downstairs, and everything you could possibly need is nearby. All in all, a fantastic stay!

First off, the service was exceptional. I want to give a huge shout-out to Beryl; his service was absolutely incredible, and I'm so grateful! There was no eye-rolling or anything like that towards mainlanders, which some people claim happens with Hongkongers. If you get him as your server, you'll be over the moon! You should definitely ask if he's working. He even upgraded me to a floor right below the pool, which was amazing. However, not all staff members are like him, so I'm especially thankful for his service. 🙏

I stayed here for a few days in 2019, though I've forgotten the name it had back then. It's now operated by Hyatt, and it was great then and it's great now. The location in North Point is much livelier than it used to be years ago. It's not far from anywhere, with super convenient public transportation by both land and sea. There's no shortage of local buzz and amenities nearby either – all in all, pretty good 🙂 The kids really enjoyed exploring North Point, a small workout with big rewards.
