This was my first time staying in a guesthouse in Hong Kong, and I chose it for its proximity to the Science Museum.
**Pros:**
The location is excellent – very close to the MTR station, the Hong Kong Science Museum, and Victoria Harbour. It was also reasonably clean. Situated in a lively, bustling area, there are plenty of dining options.
**Cons:**
The facilities and amenities are quite dated. Our room had bunk beds, and without handrails, getting on and off the top bunk was very inconvenient. The bed was positioned right against a non-opening window and the curtains. An old-fashioned air conditioner was mounted directly above the upper bunk, blowing cold air straight down. I worried my child would get sick, so I tried to turn off the AC in the middle of the night. However, there was no remote control, and I couldn't easily reach the unit. I had to scramble to manually switch off the old AC. After a while, the room became hot again, and I just had to tough it out until morning.
Furthermore, disposable slippers and bath towels were not provided; we had to specifically request towels from the owner.
