My 4 night stay was a little too short. 5 or 6 nights would have been better. On checking in I was greeted with 'Welcome back Mr Kidd'. My last visit to Chiva Som was in June 1999. That's impressive and set the tone for the few days I was there. When I visit a 6 star wellness spa and resort I expect the best and when it meets my expectations I consider that is average for the facility. Chiva Som exceeded my expectations. The hotel operations staff were exceptional all round. Nothing was a problem. The wellness team was superb and so much was inlcuded in the basic package with sensible add-ons at sensible prices. Massage, physio, stretching on-on-one plus group sessions for stretch, tai-chi etc, if you fancy it. The adherence to the times selected for a session was like clockwork and your physio or massager would be ready and waiting to greet you. The organisation was perfect - I did not come across a single hitch. In addition it is often the little things that help to make the difference: 1. Easily readable shampoo, conditioner and bath gel containers. No need to fetch ones specs and still struggle to read the small print. 2. Flat room safe in a leg height drawer - opens upwards like a box - so easy to use. 3. Contemporary light switches, aesthetically right yet easy to use. Specs or instructions not needed. 4. Practical and roomy hanging space and drawers. 5. 4 items per day laundry service within the price. 6. Good worktop desk area for laptop - although we're not supposed to be working the truth is many of us have to do some and a good worktop is a godsend.

The night market next to the hotel: There are two face-to-face night markets on the right hand side of the hotel. It takes only 2 minutes to walk to. Zen Night Market is highly recommended. Although it is not very big, you can buy gadgets that are not available in Hua Hin Night Market, but it is not recommended in Zen The food was bought inside, and the price/performance ratio was quite bad. We were 4 big and 1 small and did not order seafood. We just ate some snacks at random. When we were not full, we spent more than 2,000 baht, which is 500 yuan converted into RMB. If the price is in Nanjing, you can eat out. The night market on the opposite side of Zen is mainly for food. You can go to this night market to buy some food. The sea next to the hotel: Go out of the hotel door and walk to the left. It is very close and the sea is just like the sea. The sea in Thailand is just like that, not as good as Long Beach. There are few people on the beach, and occasionally there are local businessmen bringing horses over and asking if you want to ride. I didn’t ride it, so I don’t know the price. Hotel location: The hotel is suitable for holiday crowds, because there is only a small 7-11 supermarket around the hotel, which takes about 10 minutes to walk. Want to shop conveniently, do not recommend staying in this one, recommend staying at: Marriott Hotel. Hotel facilities and sanitation: the facilities are average and there are no special features. There is no toothbrush, toothpaste, or comb in the room. Please remember to bring it with you. Special reminder to friends who are obsessed with cleanliness, you must bring towels. I stayed for 10 days and 9 nights. The towels, pillowcases and bed covers were not changed. I just folded them neatly for you. The floor is very clean. Hotel service: The front desk staff and the staff who clean the room are very enthusiastic, the other staff are not very enthusiastic, but for me who can't speak English or Thai, it doesn't matter whether they are enthusiastic or not.

It has all the necessary fixtures you would expect from a hotel including a car park at the basement. However, the staff are very poorly equipped to help travellers. The first thing that struck me was the lack of hospitality as compared to all other places I've ever stayed in Thailand. It even looked as if the staff were very unhappy to be working there. The one who deserves a mention was the guy who oversees the carpark and entrance. Next, we wanted to rent a bike for getting around. Dont have was the answer even when we asked where we could get one if the hotel didn't have it. We were told we had to go to town for that. In retrospect.. Its quite likely that they didn't understand what we wanted too well. A bike was obtained from one of the shops some 5 mins walk out. Then we wanted to get back to the bus terminal after checking out. It took us a total of 3 attempts on different occasions only for the taxi not to be booked and confirmed. Thankfully, we were early enough for them to figure things out on check out. Thai hospitality aside, the hotel is beautiful. The hotel has a gym, rooms facing the very nicely done pool. You can get a pool towel from the reception. They provide some basic amenities and shower foam in a dispenser. Room is big although housekeeping can be more meticulous. WiFi was a pain as u have to keep authenticating each time u wanted to get into the WiFi. Connection speed is good. The corridors of the hotel is quite poorly ventilated as the air conditioning is not always on. Coupled with a largely glass facade, it was definitely sweltering in Thailand where its nearly 40 degrees Celsius. Breakfast options are limited. Either choose from the limited in house set A or B. Or you can make do with food that you can get from family marts or 7-11 less than 5 mins away. Quite decent. If you're out a little later, some cafes will be open and street side hawkers can be found.

This is a very good hotel, my third time. The rooms are clean and modern. It’s a great place for a short stay, the wardrobe space isn’t very big. The breakfast is a decent self service buffet. The location is good, a few km from the town center but a straight rd there with direct baht bus, there are also many taxis available. There are two markets very close to the hotel, so food and drink is very close if you want to leave the hotel. Access to the beach is very close to the hotel The staff are very helpful and I would recommend the hotel.

If you stay in this hotel for less than 200 yuan, it will be super worthwhile. The owner carefully designed and took care of the room. The room was very clean and easy to use, without any faults in the facilities. All the details of this grade have been considered for you. Examples: various hooks, sockets, deodorants. . . The surrounding environment is a treasure, explore it yourself! If you have to pick the fault, it is that the room lighting is not bright enough, the color temperature is also cold, and the full warm light will be more welcoming

My girlfriend and I stayed for 2 nights at Bonne Nuit Hotel during our trip to Hua Hin. The cozy hotel is located near to the famous Cicada & Tamarind Market. Restaurants & bar, 7-11, Tesco Lotus is all nearby and within walking distance from the hotel. Staffs are polite, attentive and friendly. We were offered welcome drink and wet tower upon check-in. As there is no lift in the building, the staff helps us to carry our luggage all the way up to our room. We are amazed upon entering into the room. It is new (since March 2019), spacious, well equipped and with great décor. There’s even a welcome note with my name on it too! Breakfast is served at 8am and great variety of options. That is one night when we are taking photos outside the hotel; the hotel staff even passed us the mosquitoes repellent. Besides, hotel guest will received a complimentary gift for each night stayed at the hotel during check-out! Great hospitality and attention to details from the staff makes us feel like home and well taken care of. We enjoyed our stay at Bonne Nuit and definitely will stay in this lovely place if we’re back to Hua Hin. Great value of money and highly recommend!!

We stayed for one night at Norndee while on our journey to Southern Thailand. This review is for a Wednesday checkin, so the bar next door was not playing music at all, as other reviewers have noted loud music till midnight, so perhaps the bar noise issue is only on the weekend? The hotel style overall is contemporary with some thoughtful design elements. Checkin staff were not very engaging, and this continued throughout our stay. Looked like mobile phones were more interesting. The exception was the man on duty early morning preparing the breakfast. He was very friendly. We really liked our room design and soundproofness. The bed was a real king size and was very comfortable, more like soft/firm of Western style compared to the usual Thai hard style. We noticed one of the coat hooks coming out of the wall, but otherwise everything else was in good shape and very clean. 5* for sleep quality. We used the small pool and lounge area. Breakfast was ok

This stay is good! Chinese service is great! Self-service is quick and convenient when checking in. The room was also very comfortable and the pool was large. Good location, a few steps is the beach, next to the weekend night market.
