Welcomed by Sharon, didn't meet her husband. Our room sadly was facing the very busy road which with speeding traffic woke us up very early in the morning. I think others guests room face the back which is better, but doesnt mention on *********** that the king room faces the main road. However the room was very clean and breakfast was delicious, nice and hot and beautifully cooked with good service and a very good choice. The honesty bar in guest lounge is a nice idea with guests able to enjoy a drink, write what is chosen on a list and pay on bill when leaving although we didn't choose to use the bar ourselves is a lovely touch. Walk down to the harbour which is very nice and plenty of pubs and restaurants to choose there.

As soon as you arrive at The Collingdale you re made very welcome by Sharon and Daryl who throughout your stay will help you in any way they can. It was a pleasure to share their beautiful home, lovely comfy large bed with really good pillows and large fluffy white towels. All the rooms are tastefully decorated and lovely views across the bay. The breakfasts were excellent especially the deep yellow yolks of the eggs. Nice guest lounge looking over the bay and also a bar with a good selection of drinks which enabled you to help yourself and mark it on the pad provided together with your room number when it would be added to your bill. If we are in that part of the country it is the only place we would go and we will certainly recommend it to friends and family.

My stay at The Collingdale Guest House was absolutely wonderful. The rooms were beautiful and spotless, and the service impaccable. The breakfast was delicious and views from the dining room were beautiful. Sharon and Daryl were so helpful and gave wonderful advice on places to visit. I look forward to staying at The Collingdale Guest House again next year!

We loved our stay at collingdale. The breakfast is delicious. Sharon and Daryl great hosts and very helpful in every way. The guest house is very clean, beds so comfortable and bathroom stocked with shower gel etc. we would definately stay here again it is in such a great location and we felt at home here. Wish we could have stayed longer.

An excellent traditional guest house, with friendly and attentive staff. The breakfast was first-class. The location was good, too - just on the edge of town and within easy walking distance of the lovely harbour. Parking was not a problem. We would stay again and recommend the Collingdale to anyone.

We had a lovely room with stunning views over the harbour in this beautiful location. Sharon and Daryl were very friendly and accommodating. We had booked 2 days scuba diving over on Lundy Island which required a very early start. Sharon made us a lovely packed breakfast to take with us and on our last day we finally got to enjoy the delicious cooked breakfast in the dining area overlooking the sea.

Collingdale Guest House - a very positive experience. Run by a charming husband and wife team, this guest house really excels. The warmth of the welcome and the personal touches made this stay memorable. Their standard of breakfast service has won them an AA Award and the North Devon breakfast is absolutely delicious; they use local produce and the meal is cooked to perfection. Try the local smoked haddock or kipper fillets; you just have to order them the evening before. We were so impressed with the stay that we have already booked again for next year! A thoroughly enjoyable stay, thank you Sharon, Daryl and not forgetting Sue.

We were made to feel very welcome on arrival. Our room was spotlessly clean and a kettle plus tea, coffee and chocolate were provided. The excellent breakfast menu offered a wide choice of cooked and non cooked food perfect to set us up for the day. There was plenty of information available about places to eat and sights to explore. Sharon and Daryl are perfect hosts and run a superb guest house. We shall definitely be making a return visit
