The establishment features comfortable, spacious rooms with cozy beds and cleanliness, complemented by a scenic, peaceful location ideal for work or leisure. However, guests found the food and drink prices high and lacking variety. Staff service is notably exceptional.

We have just finished a two night stay at the Pittordrie. We booked a King Room and it was very spacious and cosy. The furnishings in the room were old heavy wooden pieces in keeping with the style of the hotel. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom was very clean and well equipped. We dined in the Mither Tap restaurant both evenings and the food was varied and very tasty. A decent bottle of red wine was average price for this type of hotel. The grounds of the hotel are really lovely and afforded great walks for our two dogs. Hope to return some time and we highly recommend this hotel.

Booked a table by phone, in advance, for an evening meal for 2 in their dining room. Was using a gift voucher and phoned the number indicated and was told Pittroddie do this directly and I was put through and made the booking, reading out the voucher number as requested. On arrival the hotel did not appear to be busy. Upon entering the reception there appeared to be no-one about. Then a voice from nowhere shouted "I'll be with you in a minute" A couple of minutes later a clearly flustered member of staff appeared. We explained why we were there and gave her our name. From there on in it became a comedy of errors. She didn't know what to do. She told us to wait and then disappeared for a couple of minutes. When she returned we were told to take a seat in the drawing room then she disappeared again for another couple of minutes. This time she returned to tell us we had no table as the "tables were a bit squiffy" tonight, what ever that meant. She then offered us our meal in the drawing room where we would have had to sit on the edge of a sofa hunched over a coffee table or in the bar. Not wanting to miss our meal and to try and make the best of a bad lot, we chose the bar. We were then taken to a very dark and dingy snug bar. The only saving grace being, it was empty. We were then repeatedly asked if we wanted the TV on. Why on earth would we want the TV on when we had gone to what was meant to be a 4* hotel for an evening meal in their dining room? We were given one menu between us to choose our food. The meal itself was average at best. Not nearly the quality I would expect of somewhere award winning. On looking at the menu again when we came home, we also realised that we did not get the artisan bread with the soup. Just before our dessert was served the member of staff who had greeted us at reception appeared and said "As a consolation prize would we like a drink" Clearly as patrons go we were second best.... Not feeling particularly welcome after that we had our dessert and went to pay. The same member of staff was at the desk. She didn't know what to do with the voucher which we handed over. This time she admitted it and gave the excuse of not normally working on the desk. She gave us £4 change from our gift voucher which I'm sure isn't meant to happen but we took it anyway. As we left she said she hoped to see us again sometime. I'm afraid she will be hoping in vain. The only good part of the whole experience were the waiting staff who were excellent. The only reason we didn't walk out when it was clear there was no table for us was because of the voucher and we certainly didn't want to go back a second time.

I received a voucher for Afternoon Tea with a Glass of Fizz. The whole visit was a huge disappointment. The food was not the quality we expected, at all. We got one sausage roll each and the sandwiches were poor. There was one small scone each with cream and jam. And far too many small fancy cakes. The coffee was very bitter and the tea bags were left in the pot making it a pot of very strong tea. The state of the hotel was appalling a layer of dust everywhere, broken furniture, cracked sink in the ladies toilets, peeling ceiling in the lounge, there are 2 large Chinese vases in reception the black stands they were on had a thick layer of dust as had the pictures and fireplace. No disabled parking or toilets. Not somewhere I would recommend to anyone.

After receiving a voucher for the roasting board and all the trimmings we booked a table for today , very nice staff the starter we had was the salmon and was very nice well presented, the trimmings board came and same again well presented but sadly the food was look warm , and was cooling fast which made us rush, the food has to be said was really good, but for a 4 star hotel pathetic it wasn’t hot at the very least, as we were finally asked how it was we were perfectly honest and explained food was lovely but sadly cold. In fairness the lady knocked off our drinks and deserts(one was the sticky toffee pudding which was also cold), not a very good impression. As we left waitress said hopefully next time we are back hopefully hotel will do better, I am thinking to costly a gamble if it’s not.

I hosted a surprise dinner party for my husband’s ‘special’ birthday this weekend and all the staff I dealt with, from the initial planning to those working on the night were fantastic. We were offered the Library for a private dinner and everyone remarked on the excellent service, and delicious food and drink. We usually come to Pittodrie House to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries and always find it to be a wonderful luxury experience, can’t wait for the next one!

Took my wife here for a festive afternoon tea and it was wonderful. We could not fault the ambience, the service and the food. It was a very relaxing and quite romantic experience. The butternut squash soup was to die for. We would definitely recommend this.

We spent 3 nights at Pittodrie House hotel with our friends their dog and ours. We can't fault the friendliest of the staff, the fantastic food (two of our party were vegan and they had great choices from the chef). Our dogs were welcomed so much and we were made to feel relaxed at the hotel. The grounds are amazing and what makes it even better is the walk to Bennachie. We would definitely recommend a stay there. A big thank you to all the staff at Pittodrie from Jon, Mike, Alex , Kathy and Margot and Chive the dogs!

We had a magical experience getting married at Pittodire in July 2023. Andrew and the team at Pittodrie went above and beyond to make our day so special. They took the time to help us plan our day to the smallest details. The venue is absolutely stunning and the rooms were beautiful and clean. The food was incredible - especially the vegetarian menu

Wedding June 2023 We had a great experience on our wedding weekend. All staff really helpful and friendly. Made us feel at home, nothing was too much of a bother. We were looked after throughout the whole day to make sure our wedding went smoothly and very special. Every one enjoyed their stay and throughout the whole day all guests were well looked after. A great venue and charming hotel. A special mention to Andrew and Jill throughout the whole weekend and also for answering our many questions in the lead up to the wedding.
