Mingshui Ancient City Yefang Inn

The room was nice and clean, and the ancient-style environment was beautiful. I chose this hotel because my children liked the pool. The price I booked was over 100 yuan more than other B&Bs for the same period, but less than 200 yuan... But after checking in, I found that even those not staying at the hotel could use the pool, and no one was supervising or checking their ID... The crowd was very mixed, and many people came from outside the ancient city with swimming rings, so there were a lot of children crowded in a small pool. We arrived at the hotel around 1:30 PM and returned to the hotel at 10:00 PM. There were always a lot of children in the pool... at least 20-30. It was very noisy and chaotic, and it was not fair to guests who came specifically for the pool... They didn't enjoy the exclusive treatment of the hotel. It was still very noisy outside the window until 11:00 PM.

The experience was extremely poor, the service was very inconsiderate, and there was no one at the front desk. The service staff was insufficient, and takeout could not be delivered to the hotel. You had to walk 500 meters to the visitor center to pick it up. The key point was that you had to climb the high steps of the scenic bridge to pick up the takeout, which was not easy. The wifi signal was poor, and the mobile phone signal was also poor. I was missing a toothbrush for two adults and one child, and when the hot water ran out, I didn't know who to ask for it. The hotel front desk number was unavailable and I couldn't get through. The air in the room was also bad.

The deluxe standard room my parents stayed in was excellent value, and since it wasn't facing the street, it was quite quiet. In comparison, our comfort standard room felt quite small, and we needed to close the windows for soundproofing due to its proximity to the street. The service was excellent, and other amenities were good, though the so-called VIP seating at Quanxiu was average, and there were still a lot of people crowding in.

The inn is located above the Yefang Restaurant in the Mingshui Ancient Town scenic area, but it wasn't noisy at all, with good soundproofing. The room has a long balcony, providing a welcome break from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. There's also a long sofa where you can relax with a cup of tea and enjoy the scenery of the ancient town. The innkeeper was very welcoming and helpful. As soon as we checked in, she took our two suitcases and walked us upstairs to our room. Seeing we were traveling with children, she even offered several extra bottles of water. Downstairs is a food court, making it very convenient for finding food. During my three days and two nights in the scenic area, I enjoyed fried tofu corners, Shandong pancakes, wontons, glutinous rice cakes, rolled cold noodles, shabu-shabu mutton, and a variety of other street food. The prices were reasonable, and the food was delicious. The scenic area features a variety of performances, and the setting, surrounded by small bridges and flowing water, evokes the tranquil atmosphere of an ancient water town. While the ancient town and the inn's staff are truly impressive, there are still many shortcomings. I hope they can be improved to ensure this wonderful scenic spot is not wasted. 1. The inn's water heater is too small. A father took his child to the shower, but the hot water ran out before the child finished. He had to use a mixture of hot water and water to clean the child. He thought the water heater was broken, but maintenance personnel came and checked and told him it was simply running low. This is incomprehensible. Didn't the inn's construction consider that guests would shower? The water heater was designed to be incredibly small! 2. The scenic area's evening performances were poorly managed. On the first day, we arrived half an hour early, but there was no place to see the performance. We had to watch with our child in our arms. The adults, swamped in the crowd, stood for over half an hour and didn't see the dance floor at all. We only caught a glimpse of the drone scene. On the second day, we arrived over an hour early, but still couldn't get a seat. At least we got a relatively close seat and were able to see some of the performance through the crowd. I really don't understand the point of the complimentary performance tickets provided with the inn. Furthermore, the crowded environment showed no concern for safety issues. Tourists, overwhelmed by the crowds and unable to see the performances, engaged in arguments. All that could be heard were a few clamors from staff members, who were completely unresponsive. Fortunately, the arguments died down and didn't escalate; otherwise, the consequences of such a crowded environment could have been disastrous. The viewing areas for the performances at the inn and hotel were also separate, with no signage, raising serious questions about the management's planning and management capabilities. Overall, this is a scenic spot with great potential, but the management needs significant improvement or replacement, otherwise it will be difficult to truly attract tourists and ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

The stay was super comfortable, the environment of the inn was great, and the experience of visiting the ancient city was great. The performances were wonderful, the service was enthusiastic, and the morning wine set was very unique. It was just downstairs of the inn. It is recommended to stay here
