An oasis in the middle of nowhere, this has to be the best little hotel in Issan. Sumptuous traditional Thai decor with large comfortable rooms and all mod cons. The pool is delightful and there is peace and quiet and birdsong. The family running the place for 7 years have been through a lot with COVID-19, followed by flooding so deserve the chance to build this business back up to its full potential. I would definitely return. It's not a dislike but you will need a car to get to the resort and the last bit of road is pretty rough. They are aware of this and have asked the local council. Apart from breakfast there is no restaurant but food can be delivered through the GRAB app. The university town of Maha Sarakan is a short drive and has a Big C and numerous restaurants and cafés.
