This luxury spa hotel absolutely lives up to expectations. The service was excellent, the room was beautiful, fresh water was replenished every day, and the pillow menu was a great touch.
Breakfast was another highlight. We stayed for three nights, and the selection changed significantly each morning, so it never felt repetitive. It was actually something we looked forward to every day.
Valet parking was very convenient, with the choice between indoor and outdoor parking, and being offered a complimentary drink and small treat during check-in was a very nice welcome.
There was, however, one unfortunate situation during check-in. We had booked two rooms, one for us and one for our travel companion. All the information was given to us together, which was fine, but for some reason our companion was brought to our room on the first floor even though his room was on the fourth floor.
What made this particularly uncomfortable was that we had apparently received an upgrade without knowing it, so our room was significantly larger than his. It created an unnecessarily awkward situation that could easily have been avoided by handling the two check-ins separately.
We mentioned this afterwards, but unfortunately I do not think the issue was fully understood. It was less about the upgrade itself and more about how the situation was handled. A small gesture towards our travel companion would have completely changed the feeling — even something simple such as a complimentary dinner would have cost the hotel very little but would have turned an uncomfortable moment into a very positive one.
That said, everything else about the stay was excellent. The hotel feels luxurious, the service is attentive, and the changing breakfast selection, room comfort, valet parking and thoughtful details made our three-night stay very enjoyable.
