This hotel perfectly captured the quiet and relaxed atmosphere unique to Karuizawa. The room was clean and spacious, making it very comfortable to rest in, and the facilities were well-maintained overall. The staff were also kind and attentive, ensuring a hassle-free stay. The surrounding environment was peaceful with plenty of nature, making it ideal for a relaxing getaway in Karuizawa. I would definitely want to stay here again if I visit Karuizawa in the future.

The hotel provides a dedicated shuttle service to the station, and its surroundings are beautiful with plenty of restaurants, which is very convenient. Perhaps because it's a tourist resort, there were hardly any Japanese staff. The front desk staff were from Southeast Asia and spoke Japanese with a strong accent, and the room cleaners were also from Southeast Asia. Everything you expect of a 5 star stay, Curio Karuizawa delivered. From fluffy duvets, a superb hospitality and concierge team who went above and beyond to recommend sightseeing visits to local attractions complete with assistance with taxi bookings, delicious breakfast and in-room snacks, the hotel delivered. Only minuses are that the central heating was a bit warm even when tuned to it 21 degrees and the decor is a little dated (but still well maintained). Overall, I enjoyed my stay. Thank you team Curio for taking such good care of us!

We enjoyed the stay quite a lot. Great location, nice and cosy. Nice food with a variety to choose from at breakfast. We were impressed by homemade cookies prepared at our room. All the staff especially at the restaurant were super friendly and helpful though the one who helped check us in could have been more friendly or tried to put on a smile. This may not be an experience I expect. Other than that, everything was great.
