Best Karuizawa Hotels

"Overall it was a great stay. The pros: Facilities were great. Log cabins were clean and cosy. Staff were attentive if you needed assistance. Bath house was out of this world, especially the outdoor section. West high speed ski lift was out of order, and some ski runs not operating as normal, but the skiing was great. You can also order pizza delivery to your room if you wish. The cons: TV's in the cabins were japanese channels only and old TV's. If only they could update TV's or provide a Fire Stick so you can cast Netflix on request. Courtesy bus system was confusing, but once you got the hang of it it was ok. If your staying in cabins your meant to bring you ski gear with you. Would be nice if you could leave it at the ski slopes, and not have to carry it back to the cabins. Breakfast is expensive, so we got convenience store food for breakfast each morning"

"A lovely hotel with cozy atmosphere. Big room and comfortable bed. They provide the most comfortable shower I have ever experienced during my entire trip. Sitting in their reading room with a scenic view was really enjoyable ."

"Karuizawa is a beautiful and quiet town, easily accessible from Tokyo station with Hokuriku Shinkansen. The room is very spacious relative to Tokyo hotel room size. This hotel is not super near to the JR station but is acceptable for solo traveller like me. It is around 10 to 15mins work, depending on your pace. This hotel has a timeless village cottage vibe! Definitely worth a visit!"

"Hotel is in a great location, about 700m straightline walk from karuizawa train station. Room is compact but you have everything and is clean, amenities are provided at the lobby and you can take as needed, such as toner, cleanser and cream, hair brush, toothbrush, there's even body scrub. There's drinks provided for guests, you can have tea or coffee at all times. Hotel breakfast comes in brunch menu, food is nice and fresh. There's a also a lot of restaurants along this street so not to worry."

"Transitional hot spring hotel, communal washing machine and microwave for guest. Breakfast is great 👍 Dinner has to pre order. Turn right with 10 mins walk can find MacDonnell, cafe book shop and supermarket. 15 mins walk from train station or ¥750 by taxi"

"Hotel is located about a 20 min walk from JR Karuizawa. If you have luggage, probably easier to take a taxi from the Jr station. The front office staff are friendly and helpful and make me feel very welcome at the hotel. Room is spacious and clean with a kitchenette equipped with a microwave oven . Very useful ! Hotel is close proximity to a supermarket and bakery. Definitely will stay at this hotel when I return to Karuizawa."
