I don't know where to begin other than to say that Ard Na Sidhe is one of the loveliest properties I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. From the house itself with it's interesting history, to the thoughtfully and beautifully decorated rooms, to the stunning grounds and gardens, it was a dream. And all of that is to say nothing of their staff. My mom experience every traveler's worst nightmare and broke a bone while out sightseeing in Killarney National Park, resulting in a visit to the emergency room in the early evening when we were due to arrive at Ard Na Sidhe. The evening manager could not have been more gracious, patient, considered, kind or accommodating. She waited late for us to arrive and when we finally arrived around midnight, she was as bright and helpful as ever. She doted on my mom, asking if there was anything she could do to help ease her stay with her recent injury. She then was so kind as to fix us hot tea and biscuits and chatted with us in one of the sitting rooms, never once indicating she was tired too even though I know she had to have been. We were all able to sleep well after that, and the staff at breakfast were equally as gracious in kind, helping me to prepare a tray to take upstairs to my mom while the rest of us ate in the dining room. I cannot stress enough how much all of this together meant to my family, so needless to say, we will absolutely be back. While I don't recommend breaking a bone while on holiday, I highly recommend staying at Ard Na Sidhe if you can! You won't regret it.
