The check in was flawless, everything went went. Came with 1 welcome drink. Breakfast spread was substantial, taste ok. One of the biggest hotel in Khon Kaen and every Grab or Taxi driver will know. Room is spacious, but a little dark and old. All furniture looks 10-15 years old. Bed is comfortable, aircon fan a little loud but can switch to lower fan speed but not as cold. Location is centralised and easy to move around.

Really modern and well appointed hotel. Probably the most modern in Khon Kaen. Restaurants are decent and not overly priced like other hotels in the area. I stay here because it’s new and there is probably the best gym in the city a 2 min walk from there called Mega Gym. The only issue I had was for a super modern hotel the rooms have old flat screens that are not HDMI compatible. Very strange to be honest as the older hotels in Khon Kaen all have smart TVs. This actually caused me to move during my 2 week stay in the city. Besides that very nice hotel and great staff.

The location is a short walk down an alley after crossing the traffic light at Central Plaza. There was a balcony. Occasionally I can hear chickens crowing, but it's not a bad thing. The room was clean and had hot water and good water pressure. There are private shops nearby and a 7-11 within a short walk. It's near Central Plaza, so you won't have any trouble finding a meal.

The Chada Veranda is an honest mid-range, centrally located hotel, in Khon Kaen City, Isaan, Thailand. This guest-friendly accommodation option, was suggested to me, by a fellow expat and glad I followed the advice, as I really enjoyed my short stay here. Highlights being the economical and hearty breakfast, as well as the magnificent pool. My room was spacious with a big comfortable bed and an excellent television set-up, too. This hotel is good location to access any place in Khon Kaen. In the night, It was so noisy due to big sound from nearby bar. But it is no problem for me. The room is clean, but some equipment in the room were broken. And also, the building is old. Compared to the price, it is in the unavoidable range. Staff was very kind for me. If I will trip alone like this time, I may choice this hotel again.

Originally booked as part of test and go scheme for day 5 but with the rule change it was a more regular stay in the end. Have to say the staff here are amazing. This is a Thai owned hotel and complete respect to the owner who didn’t lay his staff off during the pandemic, choosing to stay open and adapt to the changing climate. Hotel is central, traditional and clean and our children loved the swimming pool. The bed was super comfortable. We are breakfast, very good, and at the end of our stay the hotel had a reasonably priced transfer service to the airport. Overall, an excellent experience and just wish we could have stayed longer but we will be back.

We are lucky enough to experience Thai courtesy all over the country but this hotel took it to a new level. Back to basics: the hotel takes the Convid19 hygiene measures very seriously. Our room was spacious and well appointed. (Not perfect as the kettle was broken - but sign of good hotel - was replaced immediately with a smile). Ok for wheel chair users and the handicapped will find the low bath and non-slip mat a help. Breakfast was excellent - although no western cereals there were omelettes, fruit. salads and toast in addition to Thai dishes. If we return to Khon Kaen we'll certainly stay here next time

The bed is comfortable, everything works, access and parking are good, rooms are very clean and well serviced by efficient, helpful and friendly staff. BUT . . . .Funky (though irrelevant) decor can never overcome basic problems with any establishment. There is no possible way this place deserves the high rating received. I was unfortunately forced to extend my stay so can write with some experience. First, the noise: the building has a U-shape design facing the street so it cleverly collects all the street noise and directs it into the front rooms, and what street noise. All night bikes and cars, even loud conversations exacerbated by a further design feature, the balconies, which require opening doors and therefore exclude the possibility of well-sealed windows. Then there is the white tiled floors which carry internal sounds nicely ensuring various knocks, loud TV and cleaning activity are clearly audible. Those same white tiles throughout also ensure plenty of reflected glare from sun and downlights as well. It all probably looked good in the plans! More importantly there is the kitchen, or rather lack of one. How a large modern hotel believes it can operate conveniently for guests without any kitchen or even dining area is a mystery. Again, worsened by the lack of reasonable equipment and utensils in the rooms - no sink, few cutlery/crockery pieces, no microwave which you would think a hotel without a kitchen would provide. Enquiring of desk staff what to do the answer was mostly of a shrugging nature. They didn't say eg that across the road was the hotel Le Cassia with a very pleasant dining area and breakfast for 150 baht. A walk around found some recompense in street food and a couple of fancy restaurants but they were a fair walk and not much good for breakfast. So location, also nah! To go anywhere you need a lengthy walk or a vehicle, and there isn't the ready availability of tuk-tuks or cabs as there is elsewhere. All-in-all this adds up to a pretty poor experience, despite any good points the hotel has, and it does have some as described. Value is just as available in other hotels without the drawbacks. The desk staff could be a little less sullen and more forthcoming also, and have some English - it is the hospitality industry after all. Most of this of course cannot be changed by management but more effort to overcome the problems would go a long way to improvement.

It is an old building, a new marinovate, although the exterior may not look much. But inside the room is ok, clean and the model is good, the wifi internet is strong. Khon Kaen city is located about 450 kilometres northeast of Bangkok in central northeast Thailand called Isaan. Khon Kaen city is one of the major cities in Isaan and also the capital of the Khon Kaen region and Mueang Khon Kaen District. It is situated on the Khorat Plateau and has a population of more than 100,000 residents. The climate in the Khon Kaen is referred to as the tropical savanna climate, with light to heavy rainfall most of the year and dry winters. The winters in the Khon Kaen city are usually dry and sometimes extremely warm. This warm climate continues till April which is the hottest month of the year. May to October bring some relief from the warm climate as monsoon season keep the temperature a little cool. In such climate the best time to travel to Khon Kaen is definitely from December to January when the winters are dry, the temperature's not as high as mid-April or May and there are no to low chances of precipitation. The Khon Kaen Airport is located only 8 kilometres away from the Khon Kaen city centre in the Bat Pet sub-district of Muaeng district. This airport was started in 1963 and given a customs airport status in the year 1991. The airport provides public relations services via the public relations counter on the first and the second floor of the airport building. One can also use the facilities like tourist police counter, first aid room, post office, currency exchange counter, ATM, shops, lounge, restaurants, spa and Thai massage shop, and car rental counters. To get to the city centre from the airport one can either hire a taxi or use public transportation. Transportation in Khon Kaen

People in Khon Kaen mainly rely on songthaew or passenger pickup trucks to make their daily commute as it is readily available and cost lesser than other modes of public transportation. These songthaews serve at least 10 routes in Khon Kaen which makes getting around in the city quite easy. If you want to ride in a tuk-tuk you can hire one anywhere as they are very commonly found in the city.  However, these tuk-tuk drivers charge more than songthaew. One can also hire a taxi or a private car, taxis charge somewhere around 55-60 Baht for a trip to the city and private car hire for a day's trip can reach up to 3000 Baht. Another way of getting around in the city is to hire bikes, many operators run bike hire business in the city.
