This time I stayed in Kitakyushu for a short time with my friends. We mainly went to the outlet to buy things, so we chose this hotel because the hotel is very close to the outlet and has free parking so you can come and go at any time, which is very convenient. The hardware of the hotel is better than expected. I haven't tried the meals, but I am very satisfied with the free welcome meals and food. It feels very good. Hotel 1-2-3 I used it before Kokura Corona and used it again when I traveled to Kitakyushu this time. Although it is not the best hotel, there is a large family supermarket on the first floor, and the room is well managed compared with the appearance. You can choose the type you want. Bathroom supplies are Shiseido products and quality is good. Breakfast is from 7 o'clock and quite ok. However, this hotel has no crew from midnight to 7 o'clock, and the front door is locked from 12 o'clock to 7 o'clock, so you must know the password when using it. Therefore, you can't check in after midnight. Please refer to it.

I loved everything about the guest house. Our own lockers and storage were perfect, the living room was so homey it felt like a living room. People were nice and spoke Japanese as well as English. I came to japan looking for a full, immersive experience and this was the perfect place. Fun location next to markets, bars, food, close to Kokura castle and the river walk. To me, it’s a better way to experience japan instead of a hostel where everyone only speaks English, and you might forget you’re traveling in another country. I loved it, for me it was home.

The 1st room allocated to us had a bad stench which smelled like sewage, so we immediately went back down to the reception desk and inform about the stench and requested for a room change which the staff quickly obliged. The 2nd room was okay without any noticeable stench. The manager also promptly went to the 1st room to check on the stench we reported. Compared to the other hotels we stayed in, this particular hotel had an odd smell, somewhat like stale air mixed in with old carpet smell and old heating system smell which was noticeable along the hallway leading to the rooms. The not so fresh air could be due to poor ventilation system or age of the building. The hotel is very huge with lots of rooms so requires one to walk quite a fair bit especially if your rooms are not located near the lift lobby. Coin laundromat was not easy to locate for the 1st time as it was located very far down the corridor from the lift lobby and had only a tiny black signage which was hard to see in the dimly lit corridor. Hotel location was superb as it was within the JR station compound with plenty of shops around.

It's clean, spacious, and very close to the station. However, I did not receive the email in advance, so I did not receive the entrance password or reservation number needed for check-in. And they only prepared 4 towels, which is the room's capacity. 3 people stayed for 3 nights. We ran into the cleaning person in the middle and asked for them, so they gave us more as we needed, but it was disappointing that there were only a few towels provided from the beginning.
