Baymont by Wyndham Knoxville I-75

We didn't even stay here. With yipping dogs everywhere the pool locked up with chains.It just gave us a total bad vibe. I only wish I could have got my money back.

This is a terrible place to stay. We stayed there for 2 nights and the second morning we found a live GERMAN COCKROACH! We took it to the front desk and showed them and the lady at the front desk was immediately questioning us on how it got there. We had to go buy large trash bags to bag all of our belongings so we didn’t get roaches in our house. We tried contacting the manger via email and the front desk tried contacting her. We have received no response from the manager at all or any type of refund.

The pool was nice and the bed was comfortable. The property is older and shows its age. The dark out window coverings do not work well if you prefer a darker environment. For one night it worked fine for me.

Biggest complaint was the bathroom door. Was splintered at the bottom and did not close properly. Needs to be replaced. Also, floor and surfaces were dirty. Socks were dirty after walking across the floor and towel was dirty after wiping night stand surface. On the plus side, king bed was clean and very comfortable and TV was a nice size and had a good selection of channels.

This is a basic hotel/motel which is dated and quite old. We stayed because of its proximity to the I-75 and because it’s pet friendly. Cleanliness of the room, especially the bathroom, really needs to be improved. Staff were helpful, but were run off of their feet. Breakfast was surprisingly good, given the price of the room. No eggs, but Belgian waffles, etc. Area was relatively safe. Restaurants were nearby, but we drove to a mall about 2 miles away as there were many more choices. Parking is plentiful. Stay if you have to, but next time we will spend the extra money for a better option.

Breakfast was advertised as hot breakfast and only served a select fresh fruit, cereal, waffle and toast, ....with only jelly or syrup. NO butter. Was charged an additional $50 for amenditaries that was NOT told or advertised but claimed as a deposit....but when asked about extra towels was told to wait until the next morning and get with housekeeping when my stay was ending that next morning. My room was never cleaned .

The staff was rude, three different people! Linens were washed but dirty and grungy looking. This had been a decent place to stay in past years but we will not go back. We were there for an event any MANY others who also attended were treated poorly by staff.

Nice convenient location. Deign and layout of the property very nice. I was not able to connect to their Internet and the staff could not assist. I have been able to connect to the Internet in two other hotels and a public library during this multi-week road trip.
