We arrived early, around 11:20, only to be lied to by the incompetent reception staff. They claimed checkouts were ”ongoing” and our rooms would be ”ready in a few minutes.” This turned into a ridiculous 60+ minute wait. With a family of 4 adults (2 over 60!) and a toddler, this is an outrageous delay. We finally received one room, missing the promised connecting door to the second. Disgusted, we decided to leave for a few hours. The rooms were assigned to the farthest corner of the property, a nightmare for anyone, especially our elderly parents. The ”buggy service” was a joke, requiring constant calls just to get around. Upon returning, not only was the connecting door still non-functional, but none of the charging stations in one room worked! This was unacceptable as I, a working professional, needed to work. After repeatedly calling reception (over 90 minutes!), they ”fixed” one charging port. This is a pathetic attempt to remedy a major inconvenience. My request for a room change or even a cancellation and refund was met with a laughable offer of ”complimentary high tea.” This does nothing to co****sate for the wasted time and frustration. The entire stay was a constant battle. The staff was completely unresponsive, requiring me to proactively chase them down for any service. In the evening, I again requested a room change, only to be made to wait further. This is unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. Their excuse of ”no other rooms available” was a blatant lie. I could clearly see rooms available for booking online. This is deceptive and undermines any trust I had left. A supposed apology came from the corporate office at 7 pm, filled with empty promises and another ”wait 10 minutes” for a room change. 45 minutes later, this ”helpful” representative ignored my calls and texts. She eventually did speak to me stating that her working hours needed at 6 pm. Forced to return to reception, I was offered rooms that were equally inconvenient, further demonstrating their utter lack of effort. They could only offer ”closer” rooms the next day, leaving us to suffer for another night. While there were other problems with the rooms themselves (Wi-Fi, latch, makeup mirror, unlit stairs) were frustrating, the real issue was the abysmal service. One entire day of our trip was wasted due to their incompetence, dishonesty, and complete lack of accountability. A complimentary snack is a slap in the face for such a disastrous experience. This hotel should be avoided at all costs. My recent stay at GRT Great Trails stands in stark contrast, offering exceptional service from the moment we arrived. Their staff was fast, friendly, and attentive, even providing rooms closer to the elevator for my parents. Tamara Hotel could learn a lot from them. This is an experience I deeply regret and would never recommend to anyone.

Treebo Trend Kodai Kings Park 1 Km from Bear Shola Falls
4/59 Reviews
I had a very bad experience with Treebo hotel stay at Treebo Trend kodai Kings Park at Kodaikannal Tamil Nadu for two days. # I have booked Mahagany and Treebo insisted for payment which I did or else they said that the booking will get cancelled. When I have made the payment , the very next day I got a call from treebo reservations saying that due to a technical glitch my booking couldn’t be completed and they have offered me Standard room instead of Mahagany for the 1st night stay. The very next day was a Sunday and neither the Hotel nor Treebo intimated us regarding a Sunday market which used to be there in front of the Hotel blocking the entire road. I struggled a lot going in and out of the hotel, wherein my vehicle had to be parked outside on the road. The Hotel staff had no worries in this respect. # There is no proper restaurant in this hotel. # In the entire lot of photos which treebo showcased, not even a single photo was there showing what’s outside the hotel premises, which was again disgusting. I will never book any Hotel of Treebo in future and I sugguest those who wants, to have a proper look at the hotel then only go for.
