The hotel is located on the hillside and we live on the top of the hill. The room is quite big with a small bed, suitable for bringing children out to play. The room facilities are slightly dated. There is a large balcony with a view of the sea.

Great location;staff were so helpful in booking trips;advise and generally very accommodating;koh Ngai is a great place ;relaxing and away from the masses;remember you are staying on basically a desert island (grid power off at 6 each night and generator takes over)there are 1/2 more polished resorts but they also attract more families;so if you want peace and quiet Mayalay is the choice;oh another thing to note is my wife and myself never got 1 mosquito bite in 4 night stay;really enjoyed our stay at Mayalay,

This hotel is really amazing for me! -Environment: In the south of Lanta Island, it is quite far away. It takes about 40 minutes to drive a motorcycle to the bustling area in the north (open fast); the food nearby is similar, but the 7-11 diagonally opposite green house massage shop next to the alley Everyone who goes in the massage shop must try it! Although the price is half the price of Ao Nang, this oil is really very good compared to the price. - Hotel: The service is very good. We just have a welcome towel, non-alcoholic drinks and waffles, and some luggage are put upstairs and air-conditioning is opened in advance. The use of various areas of the hotel is also recommended carefully; May be the off-season, only us and a couple of foreigners at the time of check-in, so we arranged the best room on the third floor; - Catering: At the hotel, only the lunch of the room service is called once. The taste is average. You need to charge 10% service charge and 7% tax; more than 500 baht. - Facilities: The only downside is that there is no elevator; but this sea view is really too great, very quiet and very comfortable; - Note: Because the hotel is backed by mountains in the south, many monkeys will grab your food and even arrogantly steal clothes. Fortunately, monkeys are afraid that people can drive away.

Alama was such a good surprise! All my top options were fully booked and by taking a look at the photos online, I expected quite an average stay/accommodation. But to my surprise, Alama was better than expected and I might consider coming back. I booked the Suite with Garden View and it looked exactly like on the photos. I personally love the southern part of Koh Lanta so to me the location was perfect. There are so many nice bars and restaurants within walking distance, plus a scooter/car rental, a 7 eleven, ATMs and of course Kantiang Bay. Because Alama is so high up, it can be quite a walk to your room or to the pool/breakfast area but the view from there is just stunning and the perfect way to start your day. So hopefully you won't mind the steps either! Just know that there is no alcohol (but you can bring your own) and the toilet has a curtain and then there is a wooden door to the bedroom, so if you have privacy issues, I would not recommend it.

The hotel is very beautiful and the location is very good. It is very close to the beach. The beach is not as fierce as other islands. The hotel staff is very attentive. The luggage is good for the things to help fix the boat. The memory is amazing. You enter them. After the hotel's regional registration, almost all the service staff remembered where you lived. Breakfast buffet has fruit yoghurt and various breads. Other Thai-style meals have chefs who do omlet. The hotel generally does not provide toothbrushes. You need to bring your own toiletries. Also, there is no need to bring a beach blanket because the hotel is famous, so ask the crew and the ground pick-up staff. They will change the boat to help you to park. Don’t worry.

The hotel is on the hill. If there are many people, it is very good. Kitchen utensils are readily available, and the water in the hotel pool is a sea of water that is worth a try. There are also monkeys in the mountains, don't fill in the taste. The only downside is that the traffic is slightly inconvenient. The road up and down the mountain is a bit of a test of the level of riding a motorcycle. I really enjoy the feeling of lying on the terrace watching the Milky Way, that is, to prepare for mosquito prevention.

Here’s everything you need to know: We were a little nervous by the reviews we had seen being that we are usually harsher reviewers than most. But to our surprise we really enjoyed our time here :) The beach is incredible, not perfectly white fine sand but a beautiful color nonetheless and incredible shallow turquoise water with coral in close reach but far enough to enjoy the calm, warm water especially ideal with children. As like most beaches in the region, the tide can have a big impact on your experience and requires a little bit of planning. No two low tides are the same, some can be quite low where you basically can go for a beautiful walk on the rocks, others can still make for a great swim. The time changes per day but staff are all well informed through an app and can advise you daily so you can plan around it. Remember all the beaches on the other side have the same issue but even more so and at lease the water is always calm here! The beach is soooo isolated tucked away from everything whereas the other side of the island is property by property. Only once for a short window of time on the weekend we saw a few long tail boats pull up nearby with organized day tours. The bungalows are beautifully decorated just as seen in the photos. Housekeeping does a great job keeping them clean, and the hot water and air conditioning work perfectly. The only downside is that the rooms are lined up on a straight path moving inland from the beach and main property in chronological order. So if you are in the end 15-30, it can be a bit of a walk back and forth. Luckily, we were moved from room 23 to room 5 with our small child which was a HUGE help. Our only other complaint is that the mattress was to firm for our taste, but worth the sacrifice. The swimming pool is clean and a perfect place to be when the tide gets too low. Though it is uncovered so sunscreen is needed during the harsher hours of the day. The restaurant makes some truly delicious food. The menu does not change but is quite extensive between western, eastern, and Thai dishes. Prices are higher than other parts but are still very reasonable. The bartenders make some great drinks and smoothies, some of the best fresh coconuts we’ve ever had too! Dinner seating daily on the beach is such a treat! They had two play areas for kids and activities available which our daughter absolutely loved. Most importantly to us: the people were wonderful and kind even if not at the higher standards we are used to. This was our biggest fear when booking but it came clear to us early on that the employees are overworked and understaffed. A sad truth about a lot of resorts in the area and I can understand that they can appear grumpy at times or missing some attention to detail, but they respond to smiles with smiles and to kindness with kindness. The hotel service is very good, they are very enthusiastic, and they greet us when they see people. My mother is allergic, so I helped my mother replace all the scented bedding. The room is very clean and tidy, and all the rooms can see the sea. I found that the sea view of the smallest villa room will be partially blocked, but the mountain better. My room is on the top, and my mother is in the first row facing the beach, with a good view. The hotel has a swimming pool and a restaurant. The environment is very quiet and beautiful. In a small bay, the waves are not big enough to go into the water. The food in the restaurant is very good and the price is not expensive. It is about the same price as I went to the Diamond Cliff Restaurant. We ate three meals in the hotel. The hotel has a car to send to all parts of the island, and each place has a price list. We chartered a car for half a day and four hours, 2,500 baht. Go to the beach 10 kilometers away, 400 baht one way, I think the price is also very good. You can call the hotel to pick it up at Saladan Pier. This is free, but it seems that it is not delivered. Horse * chicken needs to be reserved, very cheap, Thai massage technique is very good, only 600 baht per person for 50 minutes. And it feels very good to face the sea. The elder sister who massages is very careful and will observe your various expressions to pay attention to the severity. My dad gave an early tip of 100 baht, and actually gave him an extra 20 minutes.

Sri Lanta Resort: Highly recommended Stayed at Sri Lanta Resort for 5 nights and had an extremely enjoyable/relaxing experience. The room was top shelf. Nice big comfortable bed with a fantastic view over-looking the sea. Very clean. Great air-con. Mini-fridge. Balcony. Extremely nice bathroom with double sinks. Give the room two thumbs up. A little bit of a walk up-hill but it’s not a mountain. Easy solution if you rent a scooter. Food was really good. Good balance between Thai and western food. Fruit shakes were on point. Restaurant is on the beach with a great sunset. Ordered room service with a pizza one evening. The manager and staff were beyond amazing. Nice and friendly. When checking-in to the resort, the manager escorted us to the hotel room himself. He was deadly awesome. Providing so much useful information on: what to do, where to go, how to do it etc. Great recommendations during our visit on the island. And extremely helpful. Transport your luggage up and down the hill to & from your hotel room when checking-in & checking-out was a bonus. Also, the staff were exceptional with transportation to and from Ko Lanta (pick up & drop off). Resort is quiet and spacious. A great place to do some relaxing. Chill out on the beach or hang out by the pool; both are nice relaxing options. There are 3 pools on the resort. The hotel is located in the middle of Ko Lanta island. So again, hiring a scooter is recommended. Kept it simple and rented from the hotel itself. Mu Ko Lanta National Park is a 20-minute ride south. Lanta Old Town is a 20-minute ride east. There are a small handful of good restaurants within walking distance too. If you are in the mood for a tasty burger, I highly recommend Hungry Shack just up the road (5 mins walk north). All in all, Sri Lanta is a great resort and highly recommended.
