Vannee Golden Sands Beachfront Resort

Just arrived & would not recommend at all. There was no one to greet us as we came in, nobody even looked up to say hello! No directions to the room so we were wondering around not knowing where to go! There is no list! Not the sort of service I would expect from a supposed nice hotel. The room is ok. View out the window is absolutely awful! No space to put your suitcase! No toilet paper!!!! Not what you would expect from a 4 star hotel! We were going to extend another 2 days, but after this we definitely won’t be doing that! Disappointed to say the least. First impressions are everything & this one was awful! EDIT: after our stay the score has actually managed to go down! The breakfast is rubbish! Extremely limited! Not good fresh food! Internet doesn’t work Tv doesn’t work Air con doesn’t work. Set to 16 & still boiling at night, someone came to look at it but didn’t appear to do anything The only thing this hotel has going for it is that it looks nice! Very much style over substance. I’m absolutely baffled at all the good reviews here! It’s AWFUL! So many Israelis, about 80% of the hotel, playing their loud music around the pool & shouting all the time. Not peaceful in any way Upon check out they just turned off the electricity at 10.55, so we had to pack the rest of our stuff in the dark. No one came to help carry our bags down the stairs (as they don’t have a lift). They said they would keep our bags in the office, but just left them in the lobby, anyone could come in & take them, luckily they were still in the same place in the middle of the lobby when we came back!!! Do not recommend. Much better places to stay on the island

Probably the best hotel in Koh Phangan. The staff is always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Everything was great from the moment we checked in to the moment we checked out! Amazing view from our room. The stuff is really nice, great sense of service! Would really want to come back!

Good hotel Good location Good service But in the room not sound proof and some room party until 2am it was too loud for someone who want quiet rest

We had a great experience during our stay at the hotel. The service was very good, the rooms were very good. The shower had some light stream of water.

Hotel was really good but the 3pm check in time was not good. Didn't get room until 3.30 which is unacceptable after an already late time to check in

We stayed at Villa type room. Its very spacious, with panoramic windows, sunny. There is no door to the bathroom, only curtains. Beautiful pool. Fresh, light, luxurious style hotel.

Beautiful resort, very clean with great staff. No complaints, would stay again.

The staff were super unhelpful. We rented a bike for 2 days. We wanted to return the bike an evening early as we had an early boat to catch. The front desk said they would not return one of our passports the evening before as we still had time left on our 2 day bike rental. Our boat left at 8am but they said they would not return the passport until 8:30am (after our boat left). They refused to help us further and were not concerned we would miss our boat. We had to contact the bike company ourselves and they kindly and happily came to the hotel to take back the bike and told the hotel to release the passport to us.
