I nearly changed my holiday because of the negative reviews that i read here, however i was so pleased i didn't and went with my gut instinct. I have just returned from the most wonderful relaxing holiday at the Mai Samui beach resort. The hotel has been built in a traditional Thai style, on a quiet peninsular of Samui. So if you are looking for a glossy high rise concrete soulless block with entertainment and plenty of bars surrounding you, then this is not the place for you. There are a few local restaurants and a coffee shop only a few minutes walk away. With lively Bophut, with the Fisherman's market and Nathon are only a short taxi ride away (or free bus from hotel every day). The hotel has a variety of rooms to stay in, a couple of restaurants and a great beach bar with an extensive cocktail menu. The staff are all amazing, friendly and helpful. The hotel is currently having a few renovations but so has everyone else. Hotels and bars across the world have all suffered being locked down for several years due to Covid 19, and have only just re-opened, so yes they all need to do a bit of catch up. The renovations did not impact us in any way, and did not spoil our holiday one bit. I chose not to do all inclusive and opted for breakfast only. There was plenty of choice every morning. The egg chef was always busy with everyone's individual orders. One very small negative is the lack gluten free options or milk alternatives, but we worked around it. The beach is not your usual tropical lounging sandy spot. This is a very shallow tidal bay with some rocks and corals. It is great for a low tide walk, but not swimming. To make up for this the hotel has a couple of large well thought out swimming pools. and there is a raised sandy area to the front of the beach with plenty of sunbeds and chairs to lounge on. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel if you prefer a quite resort but with easy access to livelier towns. If i have the chance i would definitely come back again. I have come back to stay again 2 times already. The rooms are very good, spacious, with Netflix and youtube. The hotel and Trip.com provide very good service. And due to the heavy rain on the day of arrival, the ferry was announced. Which cannot travel to the hotel, Trip.com has helped to coordinate, making it possible to postpone the date of stay without additional fees. Very impressed

I searched a lot of villas online and booked Blue View. The actual scenery was much more beautiful than the pictures. A group of three children had a lot of fun playing in the swimming pool. We adults also lay on the sofa in the living room and stared at the sea view in front of us every day. It was really comfortable. We just hope we can stay a few more days! The chef's cooking is also delicious. I am very lucky to find Blue View Villa. Thank you to the villa team for their careful care.

Stayed @ this lovely place from 24 to 28 Nov. Enjoy my sojourn and wished to extend my appreciation to the hotel staff for their warm hospitality, especially to Tiri who had endeavored to help me & my friend secure a last minute booking with a tour agency for a day tour to Mu Ko Ang Thong National Marine Park. Even though she did not managed to secure a booking for us with the tour agency, we really appreciate her valiant effort. The room was nice, more or less similar to what you see in the posted pictures. The view from the balcony was excellent too, as you can see from my video. I love the part where they placed a resting couch at the balcony, which is apt for just lazing & enjoying the seaview across. & not forgetting the very inviting infinity pool with the marvelous view across the sea. Definitely a instagram-able spot. The housekeeping was prompt & the room was very well kept thru out my stay. The restaurant was good as well, I enjoyed the breakfast which was quality & quite a spread for me. Price was quite reasonable too, in my opinion. Alright asides from the niceties, there're a few things which I think is worth pointing out. 1) There aren't any elevator in the hotel, so the stairs are the only option. I would advise checking in early before evening, when the reception will be able to arrange for a staff to bring your luggage up to your room. Else, u're gonna have bring it up yourself. 2) The place is relatively remote & far from the other hotspots in Samui like Chaweng or Lamai. 1 way to Chaweng will prob take around 35 -45 mins depending on traffic. However, there are plenty of shops & outlets nearby for dinning, massage or to simply grab some groceries or necessities. You really gotta chk out the nearby Bang Por Beach, which is a quiet idyllic beach with an lovely view of the opposite island Ko Pha Ngan. Oh yeah, I fly my drone there too, & the view is awesome too. I would seriously recommend renting a motorbike or car to get around. Else, u can try exercising those limps by walking up & down the hill (The hotel is perched on top of a hill, thus the excellent vantage pt). Regardless, I think this hotel is a great place for couples & families looking a quiet idyllic spot, away from the hustle & bustle or the furor of commercial tourism. I would really consider coming back again in my future trip back to Samui...

The video is that some of the bathroom I took in the hotel bathroom is half leaky and clean. The overall feeling is good and the taste is more natural. Hahaha I want to complain that the door of this bathroom is really good. It reminds me that the memories of our Chinese when we were young are rural The stable wooden door of the house is really fun. Now the hotels are all luxurious. There is no such retro feeling at all. I recommend this hotel. It looks good. The small green glass large size is really good. Hahaha

Hello. It was the best hotel I stayed in Thailand🧡. The friendliness of the staff and cleanliness were very good. The rooms are cleaned every day. Hair caps, soap, toilet paper and coffees are replenished. There was also a kettle in the rooms. There is always hot water. The room is very nice. The seating area is pleasant. In short, a great hotel. The location is far from the city center. It is close to the beach and it is always possible to find shade under a tree. The hotel also provides motorbike rental and laundry services.

The biggest disappointment on Koh Samui. Unfortunately, all the negative reviews on Google Maps turned out to be a reality for us. We stopped by paying for a Villa for a month for 80 thousand baht, plus the same amount of deposit. Photos and reality are two different things. The first day we spent cleaning the room, removing dust and dead insects to put our stuff into shelves. The next day there was a terrible smell of sewage, and we could not use some rooms. We found a non-working shower and plumbing in terrible condition, water was flowing down the walls and plaster was falling. The room was completely unusable and we constantly had to call the staff to fix something. Then cockroaches appeared in the room! The staff did not react to this in any way. We wrote messages that were ignored. We asked for a refund to move out, as the housing is not worth it, but we were not given a clear answer. The last straw was the invasion of insects, we called for help from the staff, we had huge grasshoppers, beetles, flying creatures, we treated everything with spray — they rained down on us from the ceiling, I killed 40 pieces and then stopped counting, there were hundreds of them. All the doors were closed, but obviously in their housing where there is no constant care, there are cracks somewhere. They were still coming, we ran out of treatment, and we just had to run away without belongings in the middle of the night and look for a place to sleep, it was scary and disgusting to be there, because the staff just finished their working day and ignored all our requests to help. They have a ”wonderful” boss, Linda, who gives all orders and is apparently a con artist, collecting money and not maintaining her housing in an adequate condition, spitting on the guests. Since all our requests to return at least some of the money were ignored every day, and the problems were growing, we had to contact the police. When we returned to the hotel, we were greeted kind of aggressively after the police call, and were told that you can leave today or tomorrow. Again, no clear answer. We asked to clean and treat the room from insects so that we could go inside. When they made the decision, they immediately asked us to move out without warning in advance, we were shocked that they were kicking us out just in a matter of minutes, everything happened in a rough form and at a very late time, we didn't have time to find new housing and we found ourselves with suitcases on the street in the mountains at 22 o'clock, not knowing where to go, while we were packing our bags, we were constantly called and kicked out of the room. But the staff was no longer there and no one would have cleaned the room, we were simply put out on the street. I have never met such disrespect. For 4 terrible nights in this mess, 20,000 baht was withheld from us. This is really a disgusting attitude, we are very disappointed with both the place and the staff.
