First Residence Hotel ★★★
"The room was clean and tidy, and there's a swimming pool downstairs. It's about a 300-meter walk to the beach, and you'll pass a 7-Eleven-like convenience store on the way. Head north and you'll find a lively street with a night market in the evenings. For Koh Samui, this hotel offers incredible value for money."
The Sarann Koh Samui, Suites & Villas ★★★★

The Stay Chaweng Beach Resort ★★★★
"Good location. Big hotel Small bad and restaurant area with pool. Right on the beach so pretty good view. Overall nice place clean good staff"
Samui First House Hotel ★★★
Samui First House is the perfect getaway for those looking to truly soak in the beauty of nature. Plus, with its prime location right next to the shopping and entertainment districts, you’re just a short hop away from all the fun!
Chaweng Cove Beach Resort ★★★
"Cons: 1. The biggest issue: the king-size bed is made up of two single beds pushed together, with two mattresses and two mattress toppers. This setup doesn't create a single, unified surface, resulting in a sloped gap in the middle. If you're sleeping three to a bed (with a child) or as a couple cuddling, someone will end up in that gap. I slept like that for all six nights and woke up with a sore back. This is the biggest drawback of this hotel, and I wouldn't recommend it if this is a critical factor for you. 2. The bed linen and towels often look worn out (not pristine white). 3. The doors (entrance, bathroom) have sagged. There's a finger-width gap between the door and the frame. This means all the mosquitoes will be in your room. 4. There's no ventilation in the room at all. The only window is fixed shut. So, to get fresh air into the room, you have to live with the door open. 5. The family deluxe bungalows are separated from the road by a wall. You sit on your veranda and stare at this wall. It feels like being in a concrete box. If they put some ivy on it, the view would be much better. 6. The breakfasts are average; there's room for improvement. There's no variety. The croissants are dense and cottony, and the muffins are heavy. There's no choice for children at all – they should add waffles and pancakes to the menu. The omelet, however, is tasty. 7. The bungalows are clustered together, with little privacy between them. 8. They don't set up tables on the sand (on the beach) in the evenings – it would have been nice to have that for a romantic dinner. 9. The hotel lacks Thai soulfulness in its decor and small details. Pros: 1. Well-maintained green grounds. The gardener does a great job. 2. Good room cleaning. 3. The hotel grounds are clean. 4. Good beach. Good sun loungers (though some are already torn at the feet and breaking down). 5. Beautiful restaurant (veranda area). 6. The family deluxe bungalow is spacious (we stayed with an 11-year-old child and it was comfortable). 7. The bungalow is very bright, with many good light sources. 8. Good service at reception. 9. They congratulated me with a cake for my birthday – a nice touch."
Bhundhari Chaweng Beach Resort Koh Samui ★★★
"Hi, That was are second time to be guest of this hotel and after 9 years nothing changed .Rooms very dark with little amount of light . Swimming pool's are closed after 20:00 .For the time being this hotel is off dated .When owner will decide to do some renovation I can go back there. Regards Dawid"
Hi Samui Hostel ★★
"It was very clean. However, I was disappointed that there was no hair dryer, but other than that it was perfect so I was satisfied."
Samui Verticolor ★★★
Boasting a bold and colorful modern design, this hotel offers spacious, minimalist rooms just a short walk from the southern end of Chaweng Beach. It’s a fantastic mid-range option for travelers looking for a stylish stay with a large lap pool and great value.

3 Tigers Resort & Hostel
"Really great for the price point. Private rooms look quite new. They are clean and big and quiet at night. The beds are very comfortable. The AC is very cold. The staff are polite. Many local restaurants and 7/11 nearby. They rent scooters for a fair price of you're looking for that."
Chaweng Noi Pool Villa
"Beautiful rooms with private pool villa. The hotel and its pool were stunning. The staff were agreeable and helpful."
J4 Samui Hotel
"The room was good. The only problem was the heater. Otherwise... Overall was good stay."
Bhundhari Resort & Villas Samui
"The bungalows are beautiful and the pool is also very nice. But the location is not great. The hotel is situated in front of the road on one side and on the other in front of the beach where there is construction so the sea is very dirty. If you don’t rent a scooter during your stay it’s very difficult to move around."
Mantra Samui Resort, Adult Only

Fair House Villas & Spa, Koh Samui
"Nice hotel on the beach..good breakfast and rooms are big..location not far from fisherman village with all the shops and restaurants"
Outrigger Koh Samui Beach Resort
"The room floor was screeching, the property was not beachfront but advertised as beachfront. It’s a hotel with cheap owners not focused on services rather focused on charging customers for everything they could. The coconut water was also charged during breakfast. The staff on the reception was very unhelpful at night. I would never recommend anyone to stay in this hotel"
Guan Yu Boutique Hotel
Aloha Resort
"Good hotel, amazing location. But breakfast was all the same all days. Should be more options. The room inside is also very old, needs renovation."
White Sand Samui Resort
At this hotel, treat your taste buds to lunch or dinner at the restaurant, or simply relax and enjoy the convenience of room service (during limited hours). Unwind with a drink at the bar/lounge. Full breakfasts are served daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM for an additional fee.
Matcha Samui Resort
"Because of it‘s central location it‘s easy to get to Restaurants and Central Samui, but it‘s also quite noisy at night because of nearby bars."
The Kala Samui
"No private beach but everything else is good. Near enough to city centre by Grab. Service was excellent"
Crystal Lamai Hotel
"The good thing about the hotel is that it is relatively quiet. The pool was nice. The gym was very barebone, however, with almost no equipment inside. It is not located on the beach, you need to walk about 10 minutes, which is not bad. However, there is no place for you to sit on the beach as almost everywhere is occupied by bars or beach front resorts. The main problem I found with the hotel is its surrounding and its location. The hotel is not located at the lively market which is much further away and difficult to access by walking due to heavy traffic (I had to go to the beach every day and walk along the shore). I really struggled to find good food near the hotel and only had an ice cream for lunch. Also the hotel is located quite far from almost all attractions in Lamai aside from the beach, such as Guan-Yu shrine, red temple, Hin Ta Hin Yai, etc., and the taxi is very costly here. Also if you want to go to Chaweng beach it's almost 400 baht by taxi. I would recommend this hotel provided you have your own mode of transportation."
Baan Hin Sai Resort & Spa
"This hotel has a surprisingly good location, nestled on a quiet, tree-lined hill. However, the building itself is quite old, and the air conditioning isn't very strong. The staff provides good service, but you'll need to communicate in English as most of them are foreign workers."
Casa de Mar - Koh Samui
With a stay at Casa De Mar, you'll be centrally located in Koh Samui, within a 5-minute drive of Chaweng Beach and Bangrak Pier. This beach hotel is 6.5 mi (10.5 km) from Lamai Beach and 2.6 mi (4.1 km) from Choeng Mon Beach.
