The Stay Chaweng Beach Resort ★★★★
"I must say one of the best stays for my entire thailand trip its very well maintained and v well managed so highly recommended guys."
First Residence Hotel ★★★
"had a pleasant stay at First Residence Hotel. The room was clean and the location was convenient, making it easy to get around. What really stood out was the staff, everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, which made my stay even more enjoyable. The facilities are quite basic, so don’t expect luxury, but for the price it offers good value. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable place with excellent service, I’d happily recommend it."
Samui Beach Hostel ★★
"We stayed here and there is no electricity for the whole day, no water at all, everything sucks. The staff told us that the electrocity maintenance for 2 hours but thats ********. The whole day without electricity. Also the floor very oily like…. I dont want to stay here anymore"
Coral Cliff Beach Resort Samui ★★★★
"Hotel service is amazing. Rooms are clean and there are enough pillows on the beds. The private beach, coral reefs and fish were amazing to experience. Only downside is the amount of stairs to take to get to the beach. Would definitely recommend."

First Bungalow Beach Resort

Lamai Buri Resort
"Excellent hotel, checked in quickly to room 311, view of the reception and the road. It was noisy at night. There is a kettle, but it only connects to one outlet in the room, and the cord does not reach. The room has bottled water, coffee, a refrigerator, a TV, a silent air conditioner, beach towels, shower gel, soap, shampoo, a cap, cotton swabs. The pool is amazing and has evening lighting, the territory is beautiful, well-groomed. There is a gym, dumbbells, yoga mats, elastic bands, exercise bikes and weights. Disadvantage of the room - The sink drained water loudly. It takes 5-7 minutes to walk to the beach. The manager at the reception is ideal, she solved all our problems quickly. Thank you very much!"
Hi Samui Hostel
"It was very clean. However, I was disappointed that there was no hair dryer, but other than that it was perfect so I was satisfied."
The Ritz-Carlton, Koh Samui
"You have to be very patient to stay in the resort, everything takes time! From check in, to buggy service, in room dining…. I understand it is a huge resort but it isn’t Ritz Carlton level in terms of service. The food is so so, breakfast is full of Indian options, ordered pork basil for in room dining which was the worst one I’ve ever had. Swimming pool was always busy before 5pm. Kids club was quite nice though. Complementary happy hour was the highlight"
Fair House Villas & Spa, Koh Samui
"Incredible ! For our honeymooon the best hôtel luxury 😍😍😍😍"
Sheraton Samui Resort
"Don't overpay. The hotel is outdated. The only saving graces are the genuinely excellent service and the beach. You can see tropical fish near the shore, and the water is turquoise. Breakfasts are decent. However, the coating in the children's pool is like rough sandpaper; I've never seen anything like it. My child's hands and knees were scratched. The grounds are large, but as someone else mentioned, you navigate through dark stairwells and corridors. Ultimately, we spent a few days up north in a nearly perfect setting, but with absolutely no service. Then we moved here, where the service is excellent, but the hotel itself is questionable."
Sandalwood Luxury Villa Resort
"Rated location a 5/5, not because it is just a doorstep away from popular night markets, or just beside a beach, or the steep slope up to the villa, but because of the amazing view point it provides and the quiet sanctuary we are looking for in a retreat! The resort does offer free shuttles to areas in coral cove and (our favourite) crystal bay, which is great. Service (receptionist through WhatsApp, and drivers, cleaning) was very prompt and fuss free. Room was spacious and comfortable, facilities (eg bathroom, jacuzzi) were clean. Will definitely visit again! Thanks for making our retreat an enjoyable one."
The Flow Samui Beach Resort
"Very clean hotel. Friendly and helpful staffs especially Ice! Breakfast variety is acceptable. Ice coffee is nice , can order at breakfast time (inclusive) Pool view at night is very nice. Room is nice smelling, towels are clean. Nothing to complain about. Hotel is at beach front , will need walking out a distance , highly recommend to rent a car and they will send to hotel. Very easy to book car rental online."
Lamai Bayview Boutique Resort
"Had a nice stay but the small Seaview room does have mould if you are allergic/sensitive it did affect me"
Samaya Wellness Resort
"Good location and friendly staff. However, the hotel feels quite old and could use renovation. It was also quite noisy — traffic noise in the mountain view room, and the A/C was very loud."
Crystal Lamai Hotel
"The good thing about the hotel is that it is relatively quiet. The pool was nice. The gym was very barebone, however, with almost no equipment inside. It is not located on the beach, you need to walk about 10 minutes, which is not bad. However, there is no place for you to sit on the beach as almost everywhere is occupied by bars or beach front resorts. The main problem I found with the hotel is its surrounding and its location. The hotel is not located at the lively market which is much further away and difficult to access by walking due to heavy traffic (I had to go to the beach every day and walk along the shore). I really struggled to find good food near the hotel and only had an ice cream for lunch. Also the hotel is located quite far from almost all attractions in Lamai aside from the beach, such as Guan-Yu shrine, red temple, Hin Ta Hin Yai, etc., and the taxi is very costly here. Also if you want to go to Chaweng beach it's almost 400 baht by taxi. I would recommend this hotel provided you have your own mode of transportation."
The Kala Samui
"The staff were lovely and provided great service. There are restaurants nearby, and the hotel breakfast was good."
The Briza Beach Resort, Samui
"The hotel was nice, but needs upgrading as the room was partially updated, but they should have done it all, as it looks odd. Identity was not clear as looked old and new as the same time. Hot water was not working for 2 days of the stay. Service was good overall and porters took our bags to room which was great as there were lots of steps and our room was at the end of the complex. The door to room was old and opening the door was an art. Rooms were large and beds comfortable. I think the worst part was we went to the BBQ and fire show on the last night. We thought as we were going on flight to the net island we would be safe at the hotel. I had the seafood BBQ and the food tasted and looked overcooked. I ate some but left quite a bit. In the night is was very ill and in the morning i told the staff as we left. She rang the manager and she said that they could not do anything as nobody else has been ill and reported it. It was 6am as we had an early flight. I have been to many hotels and if this was the case, they would have accepted my word. I was not after the refund of the meal as this would not help my situation. But more the acknowledgement of their failure to provide quality food on the night, especially considering the rating of the hotel. I ended up being ill for another night. I could not eat for another day and i had a trip to Phi Phi island the following day. I was up all night, but with medication i was able to go on the trip. I dont think the hotel realised the impact their poor food had on my experience and holiday. I would say it was very poor service and if nobody else complained, as most people dont, they would not accept responsibility. Also, they put the onus on my to email them to see if anyone else was ill, before they would do anything. That is just terrible customer service. Who ever the manager is need to be retrained and taught about how to treat customers who have had a bad experience."
Samui Bayview Resort & Spa
"Excellent hotel! The staff were pleasant and very helpful! We will definitely be back!"
