Yamamoto Ryokan

First of all, the owner was very kind! I arrived before check-in time, and they left my luggage for me and gave me a tourist brochure. Also, yukatas were provided in the room, and the blankets were soft and warm! There was a bit of a draft, but it got hot right away when I turned on the heating. The bath was quite spacious, warm and nice. Hair dryer, toner, lotion, comb, cotton swab, etc. were all provided👍Instead, it was provided on the first floor where the bathtub is, so it was inconvenient to have to go down the stairs to use it, but it didn't matter since I was going to use it after washing anyway. I really recommend breakfast too! They let me decide when I would eat breakfast when I checked in, and when that time came, they woke me up by phone. It was great to have the experience of eating breakfast while wearing a yukata haha. If I visit Kyoto again, I definitely want to come back!

The facilities were clean, the breakfast was delicious, the owner was friendly, and I was very satisfied. However, the only downside was that the wooden floor made a lot of noise when I walked in the evening, so I had to walk quietly.

Location: Close to Keihan Line and a bus stop (not too close). Convenience stores and restaurants nearby are far away, not very convenient Facilities: Open the window to the patio, you can see the blue sky, good reviews. Other aspects, if you are not trying something new, I don't recommend you to book a Japanese hotel. The reasons are as follows 1. There is no private bathroom, and the public bathroom is too small to sit at all. There is no hot water in the public washbasin. 2. Tatami is too cold in winter, because the cold air sinks and the hot air rises, so the floor is always the coldest in the room. You need to turn on a large air conditioner, and you will feel hot in the room to sleep comfortably. 3. The corridor is low and it is easy to bump into each other. Service: Good. The boss personally received you and was very polite. And your name is marked on your slippers, which makes you feel very valued. Sanitation: Good. In such a narrow and cramped environment, the sanitation is so good, without any odor. Awesome.

There is no private bathroom, but you can experience the traditional Japanese style teiya. The public bathroom is also very clean and empty. It's a bit unaccustomed to get up early to wash up. The transportation is very convenient, and it's close to the bus and subway. It's also close to the scenic spots.

It was a really, really friendly and clean accommodation, and I had a very comfortable stay at this price! It was exactly the Japanese style accommodation I had in mind, so it was great on the first day of my trip! The breakfast the next day was set in a Japanese style, but it was simple and very pretty. I was really thankful that they kept my luggage for me after I checked out and during my Kyoto trip! You are so kind that I want to go there again when I go to Kyoto.

There is nothing missing, and the rice comes out well. The location is difficult because it is far from the bus stop and convenience store, but it's not bad since it's noisy if you're close to Kiyomizu-dera Temple. service is the best. I think it can't be helped because it's a real Japanese-style ryokan in many ways, such as cleanliness and facilities, but those who like it will still like it.
