So, as it was our first trip to Hua Hin, we needed somewhere central, and this hotel couldn't have been any closer to Bluport shopping Mall. Literally located adjacent to Bluport on Soi 100/1 - this hotel gets a 10 out of 10 for location.
There are green baht buses that you can catch from outside Bluport to the other mall called Market Village for 15 baht per person. If you cross over the road to the opposite side of Bluport, you can catch a green Baht bus to Khao Takiab beach also 15 Baht ride.
I would describe this hotel as budget to mid range and although clean, the decor is a bit dated and tired looking, especially the main reception area.
The room we had was perfectly clean, and although the decor looked better, there was still a bit of a dated feel to it. The room has a mini fridge and tea & coffee making facilities, complimentary bottles of water, replenished daily. The mattresses are quite firm, but that suited us. The towels would benefit from being replaced with new ones, but they were clean even if they didn't look it.
The reception staff were friendly but could do with more training on being customer solution focused. We enquired about hiring a car and both of the ladies we spoke to were not that helpful and never got back to us with any car rental information.
The breakfast served was varied, and I found the staff in the breakfast room very attentive and caring.
A good selection of Thai dishes, western breakfast ingredients, cereals and fruit galore plus some traditional Thai sweets which was an added bonus for us.
The pool area of the hotel is very nice with a limited number of sun loungers which were quickly claimed by our fellow German travellers! Not a problem for us since we didn't intend our holiday lounging around the pool all day. Too much to see, do, and experience for us. 😀
Overall, I would say this is an okay to good hotel and great for a flying visit. If I were staying longer. I think I would be looking for something a little bit better.

It is a conveniently located hotel that provide comfortable accommodation at budget prices. Although the property is not beachfront, it is not far from the sea. It has full amenities like a swimming pool, a gym, a rooftop bar, and a good restaurant for both breakfast and all day dining. You need a car though to get to other nearby places like the beach and other shops but the concierge can arrange a proper transport for you. It’s good for both business and leisure travelers at affordable cost.

There is a night market nearby, but unfortunately it is across the railroad tracks and you have to go the long way around.
At the water park, my child could not use the floatation ring I brought.
I wish they would at least let us use the type of floats that attach to our arms.
The rooms are clean and the children like the playful bunk beds.

The room is OK, the price is relatively cheap, suitable for one night stay when passing through Hua Hin, the hotel's basic facilities are quite complete, the air conditioning works normally, the hygiene is basically satisfactory, the surrounding environment is average, and the service is average. The disadvantage is that the music next door is a bit noisy at night, and it is not easy to sleep until after 11:30 when the noise is quiet. The room close to the road will be disturbed by the sound of passing motorcycles and cars. Another disadvantage is that the WIFI signal in the room is relatively poor. I asked the waiter to help maintain the network. The waiter asked us to use other FI upstairs and downstairs, but the signal was not very good. Finally, the small balcony is rarely cleaned and is relatively dirty. The room only comes with two bottles of mineral water, and the water is a bit small. It is suitable for self-driving travel and is relatively close to Hua Hin Railway Station and Night Market.

Outstanding
SSumanarI recently stayed at The Standard Hotel in Hua Hin with my husband and daughter, and it was a delightful experience. The hotel is surrounded by lush greenery, which creates a refreshing atmosphere perfect for a relaxing holiday. The abundant trees provide numerous beautiful photography spots, and the magnificent tree at the center of the hotel serves as a lovely symbol of the place.
The swimming pool, while medium-sized, is just right for spending quality time with family.
One of the standout features was the impressive breakfast. The staff exhibited excellent service, and I appreciated the option to order eggs; they served them fresh at our table.
However, I would suggest that the front desk communicate better with housekeeping. We were provided with only two towels for our stay, which was a bit inconvenient for three people. Also, note that breakfast for children is priced at 400 baht, which you can pay at check-out.
On a positive note, there is plenty of parking available, and the hotel is both kid-friendly and pet-friendly.
Overall, I highly recommend The Standard Hotel for a great family getaway!
SSydbBeautiful hotel, located right on the beach. Plenty of activities for families and couple to do. The staff are very friendly and approachable. Highly recommend staying here.
GGwyneth710The floor in the bathroom is slippery, we have asked servicing department and front desk to give us a bath mat for 3 times before the staff can understand. There was a large company to have team building in hotel during our stay. Therefore they occupied most of the beach club, having party in beach club until 1:00 am. Since we are staying in the deluxe seaview room, we are highly disturbed by their music (noise)! It is not convenient for calling grab unless you paid additional 120 baht and order in advance. Breakfast is just average and we have to queue up some times to get our coffee and food since there are more than 100 guests but only have 2 coffee machines and not much food counters.
DDanuyotDry good experience here. It was our 4-5th time visiting Amari huahin. The location is so so but the service quite great. This time I just known that the best club belong to the hotel is our office service due to non-negotiated with the land owner.
UUrban blissThe hotel is an about 5-10mins from hua hin night market or major shopping centres. So you’ll need to commute back and forth if you want to do some shopping or for meals outside of the hotel but taxis ain’t easy to get during busy hours.
We booked two rooms with garden view. The rooms felt a bit old and our boys got really bad mosquito bites all over their face, arms and legs (So beware if you are travelling with kids).
There were many activities for kids (badminton, swimming, mini football, kids room) but you do need to queue for your turn as the hotel was busy.
Breakfast was buffet styled and the food was ok (but nothing too spectacular) with plenty of local and western options.
The spa was very good. I had a deep tissue massage and I just felt so relaxed and slept through half of the treatment.
Overall, a well established resort in hua hin with a more traditional or old-school feel to it. If you are looking for a more modern resorts with newer facilities, then this may not be the place for you.
GgodskitchenThe pictures posted be others didn't do this villa any justice, this place looks and feels much better than that. I was sceptical at first, but decided to go ahead with the booking. Was very surprised by the place.
First of all, the villa is totally cool. Reception is very welcoming. Welcome drinks and friendly smiles makes your long hours drive so worth it. Parking is available with about 20 lots. Security will guide you to your lot, not many llts utilised but stayers.
The walk to the villa is just a short throw, 1 minute. Each and every villa has almost totally privacy. 2 main types ground level or upper level. Ground level has private pool, view from upper level is blocked from view via an aluminum awning louvres. The pool is also blocked from view from outsiders via bamboo structures.
The ground level with private pool is all yours, not share with next door. There is a jacuzzi in the bath area. Huge one in a huge bath area. 2 separate wash basins with separate standing shower and toilet, all sheltered by glass panels. Make up area is big too. Big side bed by the ultra huge bed. Putting 2 king beds describes the size, can sleep 4 adults side by side.
The beach is just a few villas roons distance away depending on which villa is yours.
Photos attached to justify the better than expected uploaded pictures.
There's are also non villa rooms, but didn't explore them.
Breakfast is imho about jist above average, sufficient on international and local delights. But don't buy my words, i travelled far and wide and had high expectations on food. Eggs station, wide selection of drinks and around 10 hot dishes, cold dishes about there too. Restaurant is by the beach. Sunrise view but hot is you sit by the individual shelters, else the main restaurant good.
Overall impressed with the service, from security, to porter, to the reception.
Rooms are clean as it can get, pool with some particles by acceptable, jacuzzi is as good as new. Wooden structures dish as doors and bridges by the pool and wooden decks looks a little wormed out, but some has been repaired, never impacting stay.
Location is far from the night market but if you are after peace and quiet, this is the one. Near takiap. 6min drive to hua hin beach, else 30min walk along the coast.
One of the best villas at its price range. Reviewed based on july 2024.
JJun-PThey let us check in a little early.
The pool led directly to the beach.
Rooms are clean, balcony has a sofa.
You can see the ocean.
It was the vacation I was looking for.
TTrelaquixI had a fantastic stay at this villa! The first thing that impressed me was its generous size and ample space. It provided a comfortable and spacious environment that made me feel right at home. The well-equipped kitchen was a pleasant surprise, featuring a large fridge and a convenient microwave, making it easy to store and prepare meals.
The entertainment options were decent. The television in the villa has access to YouTube, which is probably what anyone uses to watch anything these days. They also provide a portable speaker that I use by the poolside to listen to my favourite tunes. It was great to have the flexibility to enjoy my favorite shows and videos during my stay.
One of the highlights of the villa was the delightful pool. With a depth of 1.4 meters, it provided a perfect balance for both relaxing and swimming. The width of the pool was also impressive, allowing me to swim from one end to the other in just a few strokes. It was truly a refreshing and enjoyable experience.
Now, let's talk about breakfast. I must say, their carbonara is an absolute must-try! The quality and taste of the carbonara were on par with some of the best restaurants I've been to. The villa's attention to detail when it comes to their breakfast offerings definitely added an extra touch to my overall experience.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this villa. Its spaciousness, well-equipped amenities, enjoyable pool, and delicious breakfast make it an excellent choice for a memorable and relaxing getaway.
FFengjingrushihuaThe sea view cottage is worth staying in. It is on the fourth floor, with 2 floors on each floor, with a balcony. There is no elevator. If you have a lot of luggage, it is recommended to choose the lower floor. The upper floor has a wide view, the sound insulation is not too good, the air conditioner is super cold and the sound is loud, the WiFi network is not slow, and the signal is good. The area is quite suitable for a family hotel. There is a big bed, 2 small beds, 2 rooms, 2 bathrooms, and 2 large balconies (the bathroom downstairs is a bit small, so fat people should not enter.) Plus the 1.5m sofa bed in the 1F living room, it can accommodate 6 people without any problem. It’s just that the small room upstairs facing the road seems to have no big windows and is afraid of the dark. Children have shadows in their hearts and avoid the crowd. No toiletries are provided, and towels are also a bit old. It is recommended to bring your own. In addition to not being able to cook, the dinner plates, knives, forks and cups are complete, and they also thoughtfully give dishcloths, bottle openers, and fruit knives. I was stunned.
The pool water is a little green, but still clear, so it doesn't matter if you are not good at swimming. Hua Hin has strong winds and waves in January. The tide is high during the day, so you can't walk along the ChomView coast to play in the sea and sand. The tide will go out after 6 pm. You can walk to Hua Hin Beach in the north and to Khao Takiap in the south at night. If you like to go to the sea, you can check the tide table online. Overall, the hotel has everything you need, and it is a big deal for a small price. It is suitable for people who are not picky. It is very close to the Cicada Night Market (Thursday-Sunday). There is also a cost-effective seafood food stall Pa-Ruay Pu Pen diagonally opposite the night market. It is recommended by a certain audio.
