Chicago Athletic Association is an historic 1890s monument to the competitive spirit now transformed into an ultra-luxe Chicago boutique hotel with commanding views across Millennium Park to Lake Michigan. This long-vacant Venetian Gothic landmark springs back to life as a club-like mecca for inspired recreation where the spirit of play reigns supreme fueled by locally sourced luminaries from Chicagos top-flight social and culinary destinations. Its personal here, because the spirit of Chicago is a kind of club and on our team, everyone belongs. This is the club whose members swam with five-time Olympic gold medalist Johnny Weissmuller and watched Pudge Heffelfinger own so much end zone, he became footballs first pro. The courts are polished. The trophy cases dusted off. Everything here is renewed, thanks in no small part to the Herculean efforts of the builders and craftsmen who have helped us realize our vision. Our reverence for this monumental building cannot be overstated, but we want to breathe a new life into it, to care for it without treating it like a relic. That's the intent of the dynamic design duo Roman and Williams winners of the 2014 Cooper Hewitt National Design Award who are building a legacy of creating extraordinary presents with historic pasts that are more than restorations, but rather reinventions. Architect Henry Ives Cobb a charter member of The Association imbued this magical place with a Gothic fade reminiscent of the Doges Palace in Venice. Revitalized interiors once again reveal an extraordinary level of detail in the tiled floors, millwork, chandeliers, grand staircases, palatial rooms and soaring ceilings. Today, The Associations socially robust, sports-driven past lives on amid restaurants, lounges and ballrooms where a high-spirited, club-like atmosphere prevails, seamlessly melding into shared histories, past and future.31MAY23-05JUN23 Nonrefundable full prepayment at booking, no changes or cancels.30JUN23-03JUL23 1 night deposit at booking, cancel 21 days prior to arrival...

Clad in marble The Gray has been a tastemaker for more than a century, first as an office building and now as an elevated-experience hotel. Consider us for business travel or a weekend getaway. Blocks away from Millennium Park, restaurants and museums.
I chose this hotel for the purpose of taking the train. The train station is right across the bridge. The room is tall, spacious and clean. Due to time constraints, I did not choose to have breakfast in the hotel. Note: The hotel can provide breakfast.
Very good location. The hotel is nearby skydeck and we walk there to save time and parking fee. Besides the lounge is good. But it's closed during weekends that I don't understand the reason. We use suite coupon to get a corner luxurious suite which is really huge, especially the main bathroom. Overall I recommend the hotel for Bonvoy high level members.
The hotel has a good location, just beside Michigan Avenue, and convenient to all major attractions in Chicago. The hotel environment is also very good. It is quiet and clean. The space is large enough. There is sufficient hot water supply, but there is no hot water to drink. We brought our own heat The most distinctive feature of the kettle for boiling water is the hotel’s robots, which can deliver water and daily necessities, which are available on demand, great! We did not have breakfast at the hotel, but there are many restaurants around, which are very convenient. The waiters in the hotel are very good and the service is very warm and thoughtful. Our trip felt very good, the price was affordable and the process was comfortable!

My sisters and I live in Chicago (I live 10 minutes away from the hotel). We wanted to take a quick staycation. The Sable is near a lot of iconic and historic places in Chicago. The hotel was to live for!!! The staff was absolutely amazing!!! Contemporary furniture, an amazing bathroom, and comfortable rooms. The views were priceless inside and outside the hotel. We walked everywhere. There are bars, restaurants, stores, boat tours, entertainment, etc... within walking distance of the hotel. Awesome would be an understatement!
Cost-effective. Good location and convenient transportation. The hotel's design is full of modernity, and it matches the high-quality style of the entire city of Chicago. Service was good and very clean.
It’s a nice hotel. The room was very clean. Check-in was no problem. Very nice to us. It was just the parking was a block and a half away. But we did find a parking spot on the street on the opposite side of the block. You can drop your stuff off in front of the hotel and check in before you go find your parking. Lots of places to go eat in the area. I’m not sure but I think this is part of Chinatown. If not it’s right next to it . We definitely stay again.
The hotel is located in a downtown area and is convenient for travel. The room is located on the sixth floor. The windows have poor sound insulation and the sound of car horns can be heard. Only half of the shower room in the room is separated by glass, and there is no door, so some water splashes onto the floor. The experience was not good and I will not stay at this hotel again.
We stayed for the weekend and were not disappointed. I’m one of those people that do tons of research before choosing a hotel. This one is priced well and is so cozy and welcoming. We stayed in one of the city view rooms which I would totally recommend. The night before I got a notification on the Hilton app saying it’s time to choose my room and I was able to choose a corner room with a view of the city on both sides and it was quite large. Being able to choose your room and know which one you’ll be in when you arrive is great. This hotel is in a great spot and only a few minute walk to an L train station for all of your transportation needs. The neighborhood is pretty quiet from what I saw. We loved the full size pump bottles in the bathroom of body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and hand soap. The front desk staff was always welcoming and answered any questions I had. I would recommend the skyline room. We stayed in room 1815 and had a great view of the city. The only downsides were that the windows were quite dirty and the parking garage was tiny but I understand those aren’t necessarily problems that can be fixed easily. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and I would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone else looking for a place to stay in Chicago.
Room was spacious with good sized bathroom. Check in was prompt and courteous despite arriving 2 hours earlier than expected. A big shout out to Carlos who graciously greeted us and was one of the finest front desk agents at a Hilton. He suggested 5th floor which placed above minor street noise. Hilton included breakfast was so so but not a surprise. Numerous restaurants were in easy walking distance of hotel. Would not hesitate to stay on next visit.
Strong praise! First of all, the pillows are very comfortable. The first hotel pillow allows me to sleep without neck pain. Secondly, the slippers and bathrobe are great! No need to call the front desk to take off your shoes. Next, the coffee machine has great reviews, lots of cups and lots of different flavors. The hotel room is very spacious and has a Bluetooth speaker. Very comfortable!
Service: Very considerate, the front desk staff are very warm and considerate.
Facilities: There is no dining in the hotel, there is a bathtub and shower in the room, and the toilet is very spacious.
Cleanliness: Very clean and the bed is very comfortable.
