I was beyond pleased with the motel, our room and service itself. I am beyond upset that when we returned home from our trip there was an additional $250.00 charge to our account. We called the motel itself as well as LaQuinta customer service. They stated the charge was considered an incidental. Questioning more they stated a room sensor must have went off. When we questioned further as to what a room sensor was and they couldn’t say. What does that even mean? Smoke detector? Carbon dioxide? Temperature? Heat, humidity? Still no explanation from any of the calls we made. Now be aware that this additional charge did not come to us until 4 days after our stay. Room charge had already been paid. We are still fighting this with the company, the motel and our bank. Note we are both 67 years old. Have Never smoked Anything! We did take steamy showers and I did use hair spray. So please explain to me why you are changing me 4 days after our stay for a sensor going off not caused by us!! Beyond upset and as travelers, we will Never stay at a LaQuinta location again! Be aware it could happen to you.
