Holiday Inn Express London - Newbury Park

Where to start...first impressions were not good at all. We stayed on Wednesday 11th November. We were locked out, despite staff knowing we would be arriving late (we arrived at 23:15). We tried for 15 minutes, in the pouring rain to get in, we called and called and called..no answer and then the door miraculously opened as if by magic. We got to reception to be greeted by the most miserable person we have ever met. No apology, no hello, no nothing just ”gotta reservation?”..as someone who runs a 4 star hotel this guy wouldn't have a job, how he (Asian, 5ft 10ish, black jumper) actually HAS a job I'll never know all I can think is nepotism. I realise we are in London, the land of no manners but we expected more from a 4 star hotel. Anyway, our room was ok, no toiletries, only 1 set of towels (Covid? Who knows), poor tv channels and a non working remote due to our 'Mr. Miserable' host we didn't want to complain incase we made him cry. Nice pillows in the room, I like firm pillows. Breakfast was nice considering and the server Faruk/Faruq was lovely. An asset and a saving grace to our trip, helpful, friendly, welcoming, couldn't do enough for us maybe he could train Mr. Miserable in how to be nice. Our check out was smooth our receptionist asked how our stay was honestly we couldn't be bothered to tell her about our check in and bet she wouldn't have done anything anyway. All in all we wouldn't stay in a holiday Inn again, we have had better service in an Ibis.

Apart from the lack of car parking spaces, not bad. Good location, close to the town Centre, room was a good size and tidy, maybe the carpets could do with a Hoover, breakfast was a hot self served breakfast and the staff was friendly. Would come again.

We stayed at the Guesthouse for a week while working at the local ExCel Centre. The guest house is surrounded by many local takeaways and close to free parking out of normal business hours. (7:30-6pm Mon-Fri chargeble free the rest of the time) The accommodation has its own entrance which is accessible by a fob. Through the door leads you to a set of stairs that sits above the pub. Check in for us was speaking to the bar manager. The room was great value. Just be aware that on a Friday and Saturday Night the pubs live music can be heard but i did love the hotel provided ear plugs as standard in the rooms to aid sleep if you don't like live music. We both enjoyed it and would stay again.

The accommodation was reasonable to see but was not a very tasty hostel to stay long. For the money it was really just to do.
Premier Inn London Romford West

having stayed at many Premier Inns over the years I have to say that this is the worst experience I've had with them.Check in was fine until I was informed that the cooked breakfast was unavailable.A part of booking this hotel was the option of pre-booking a cooked breakfast so that was the first issue. My next concern is that upon entering my room,it was freezing because the window was wide open and it smelled like the previous occupant had been smoking in there. There was also a bluebottle flying around the room which I managed to get out of the open window. My next concern was when I went to use the toilet and upon lifting the seat, there was dirty toilet paper in the bowl.I did not have a good nights sleep unfortunately because I just could not relax and did not take this up with reception as it appeared that the lady had enough to do,to be honest and quite frankly,I do not believe it is her fault. The fault solely lies with Premier Inn management who do not provide enough cover for these positions
