Travelodge London Central Southwark

The worst business hotel experience ever!! No mini fridge, dirty room, dirty towels, no toothbrush and toothpaste, need to get the hair dryer by yourself at the reception desk, only 30 minutes of free Wi-Fi every 24 hours… etc In the bathroom, the shower curtain is too short, and the shower area is too shallow, so the water is everywhere every time you take shower, absolutely unpleasant. Definitely not recommended and won’t stay in this hotel in the future.

beds and toilet are bad, there is no amenities.

The room had an unpleasant smell (humidity) since the day we arrived. Also, we had issues with the toilet as the pressure was so weak that we had to flush many times (waste of water). We informed about this at the reception but they did not care.

The location is convenient, but the staff are what make the Southwark a special place. Kudos to Shelly & her staff (Bhanu & the ladies) who were professional, warm, ready to assist & offer tips about the neighborhood.

Bhanu came up to help us with key issues multiple times. Nothing was too much trouble. A warm welcome and check-in, a great help, thank you Bhanu :) a great Travelodge rep

Bhanu has been an exceptional frontdesk and provided us with immense help. It has helped a lot and solved our problems and questions. Im coming for my graduation and he also helped me with questions like transport, food recommendations and things.

had really great time, good hotel for families, food was good and everyone was really friendly and helpful

The good: -Polite staff, breakfast good, can tell they are working on the place. The bad: My keycard wouldnt work when I got it, had it fixed for it to then fail again the next morning. NOISE! 7:30am the next room builders drilling and banging renovating the next room (6th floor) then about 830 people seemed to have complained and heard the lady ask them to carry on in the afternoon. I go to breakfast and by 9am they are already back in there making the walls shake and cant hear a thing. (I have a video of it, shame I cant post it here) Bathroom: Clearly it had been rennovated not that long ago but done badly. The bath had big chips out of it despite looking mostly new. Tried to have a bath during the drilling but could only get warmish water. Went to use the soap dispenser next to the tub and the whole front came off and wasnt connected. In the end I just gave up and checked out and moved on i'm afraid.
