The executive 1 bedroom room with a price 380£ per night didn’t match description and picture on the internet. The given room (703) was on the ground floor (what corresponds with the website description of the “deluxe 1 bedroom”). The given room didn’t fall under the category of “executive” at all. The only window in the bedroom opened into a narrow dark shaft, diameter 1,5 m, you can’t see even the peace of the sky, only 4 walls with loud ventilation installments. Their volume was loud even with the window shut, therefore it would be impossible to sleep in a room like that. It was also impossible to ventilate the bedroom with fresh air (the apartment smelt badly). The small window in the living room looking out at Harrod's Parking lot. (website says this “hotel offer the very best in 5 star luxury London, all apartments face east and west to maximise light” and etc.) The general manager Vitor Medeiros told me that it was the only room available in the apartment building. He offered me 2 rooms in another building (25 min by walk from the booked apartment, in another district, which I didn’t like), one of them was a category below (cheaper and quality was worse), for the second he asked me to extra pay £900, which was ridiculous. I requested that he returns the paid money for the room, and he claimed that he wasn’t authorized to answer these kinds of questions. I asked to speak to another person who is authorised but he didn’t give me any information. I moved to a different hotel, and I did not spend the nights at this apartment (as I repeat, it would be impossible to sleep in). I sent 2 complaints by email but no one answered me.

The service was extremely poor. On the day of check-in, I had confirmed with the front desk that I could check out at 14 o'clock on the day of check-out, but the staff who helped me check in on the day of check-out pretended not to know that he said he could check out at 14 o'clock and kept saying that we were looking for an excuse to let us pay the room fee for the day. In addition, during the period of living, the room cleaning personnel forced me into the house to clean when I refused to clean, which was very lack of quality and self-cultivation. The service of this hotel is terrible. I won't choose the second time！！！！！！If someone has booked this order, remember to delay the check-out time when checking in. Wonderful hotel! Now on our permanent list for future visits. Had a last minute flight cancel and had to spend an overnight in London. We had been coming off a long guided trip and wanted a cozy and convenient place for our unexpected (bonus) overnight. Booked room only hours before arrival based on a friend’s rec who had only heard about hotel. The staff (notably Benjamin) could not have made us feel more welcome and as if we had just arrived home. Hotel was cozy and charming. Relaxing welcome beverage (tea or champagne) in sitting room off reception. Also enjoyed ‘house special’ Martini in bar that evening accompanied by great complimentary nibbles. King bed room was perfect for us and sized as expected - 2nd floor back in a separate foyer from main hallway - not huge, but great space and good sized bath for 2 people. Welcome treats & personal hospitality note in our room. (Again, they only had few hours notice aware of our arrival). Turn down service with slippers provided. Wonderful location for our preferences and easy walk to SoKen tube. Highly recommend.

Truly an experience. My wife and I brought my mom to London for her 80th birthday, as afternoon tea at The Ritz was still on her bucket list. She had no idea I booked our stay there as well, and the Rolls Royce pickup from the airport. The hotel itself is what you expect, the Luis XVI style common areas and rooms are beautiful, but what really makes the place memorable, are the people. From our first contact with Johan, and our check in with Giacomo, Gavin, Roberto everyone was fantastic throughout our stay. The amount of time that the folks at reception are willing to spend just chatting and sharing stories with you is something you just don't find elsewhere. Many thoughtful interactions with my mom as the whole place seemed to know her big birthday was coming up. It was the experience of a lifetime. Thank you everyone at the Ritz for making it happen.

The Dilly was probably amazing in the 1980's and 1990's but not much has been updated since then! We stayed in a Dilly Classic room which was perfectly fine, a good size, clean with strong Wifi. The shower was powerful and there was plenty of hot water. I know some people on this site weren't impressed by the breakfast but I thought it was great. Obviously, the location is fabulous. However, I didn't feel the room was up to five-star standard. The coffee was instant and the milk small UHT cartons. There was no fridge or mini-bar (though we were in the 'cheapest' room so may be different elsewhere). The toiletries were cheap and basic (so bring your own), there was no plug by the bed to charge devices overnight and no Blu-tooth speaker which seems to be a given now in higher-end hotels. The style of the room itself was quite dated including the landline next to the toilet which I'm sure was incredibly cool in 1986 :) Overall, if this was a three-or-four-star hotel I'd give it full marks, but as it's a five-star, (and more importantly charging five-star prices), it's lacking in some areas. I believe the hotel is currently 'between owners' which makes sense, as I guess the current owners don't want to invest and are ticking along until the new ones take over. It's not dreadful by any means, but they charge a lot for what you get.

The shopper preferred, Harold turned to the corner, next to the Harold underground parking lot, you can watch luxury cars. Because there is a friend who loves shopping, we chose to stay here for three nights. We rarely lived in such a boutique hotel before, but I didn't expect the experience to be very good. Both the front desk and the person responsible for luggage and cleaning are very attentive; the hotel is small and beautiful, but the rooms are large and comfortable, beautifully furnished, and the sofa is free for children. (This time I lived in five hotels in the UK, only one of them received an extra bed fee, which is very friendly to families with children). The adjacent room at the front desk is a library and a bar, breakfast is also here, in addition to the continental breakfast, you can also order a single point. It is not without flaws. For example, the mattress should not be an independent spring. Turning over will affect the people around you; the bathtub and the shower are integrated, and you must slip carefully when entering or exiting. In short, it is a very cute experience, thank you for the staff here, and thank you for the three glasses of champagne. See you next time in London.

I was given a Pret a Porta tea. voucher for 2 people as a birthday gift. My husband and I attended on a Sunday afternoon. We were greeted by 2 charming young ladies at the reception and we were really looking forward to a special afternoon Our waiter eventually came to the table and asked us what we were having. We explained the situation and said that our voucher was at reception. Some time later he returned and removed our champagne glasses. We questioned his actions and he told us that it was tea without champagne. My husband was not happy and went to check and in fact champagne was included in our voucher We were then served by a different waiter for the rest of the afternoon It was obvious that this attitude spoiled our whole celebration We were very surprised that the 2 suited men who were obviously in charge made no effort to apologise for the mistake. They just stood stony faced all afternoon This really is not worth the £93 a head!
